I suppose that I should attempt to make some inroads before school begins. I've just receive a letter from Crookston accepting me as a student for my junior year, which is quite a relief let me tell you. I was not certain that my old private school would be able to get their paperwork together.

As I have been assured that only the finest of students attend these classes, I am interested to learn if anyone else here is going to be attending in the fall.

I would like to think that I'm hardly short on any of them.

[But yes, a few more weeks blundering around with a seemingly unlimited supply of money, and she might have gotten in on her own. Attracting a lot of attention in the process though.]

Still, if I wanted to meet a benefactor, where might I find one?

Then, look at when you got the paperwork delivered.

Then ask that.

Well then, As I have said before. Should I wish to meet with said benefactor, where might be a good spot? After all, they do not seem to have left a return address on any of the paperwork...

I could arrange a meeting at Crookston's coffee shop, perhaps. With your letter of admission, you should be able to get a badge to get on campus.

None of them were very important in the grand scheme of things. But they've also not turned up in the hands of any fences or pawn shops. So I've been forced to assume that the thief still has them.

Hrm. Worrisome, potentially. That means they wanted those pieces specifically, which could reflect a few different desires...

Well, I don't know why they would have wanted them other than their cost. The more conventional ways a thief might have offloaded them might have actually been scared by these high-value objects.

We could be dealing with someone who looks to use them against you somehow, then. Magic and all that.

...wouldn't nail clippings or a lock of hair work better for that? They were in my room, surely there must have been no lack of opportunity?

The name is certainly suggestive. But I am sure that 'rumor' is all that there is to it.

Name aside, I wonder if there's anything to the rumors of all those Lord Titan underlings coming from Crookston.

To anyone with any pride at all, the notion of become a pawn like that would be too much to bear. Were there any truth to that, I'd tear up my acceptance letter in a heartbeat.

Then they are free to make that choice, of course, as regrettable as it might be. They will recieve their justice, in this world, or another.
