A boat has just pulled into Venture City's harbor. There isn't really anything special about it; it's just a freighter from Brazil. Most of its cargo is nothing to write home about. Yet this ship has pulled into the harbor with one unexpected passenger--a wild-looking young man clad only in a loincloth held up by a weird-looking belt. He's got an oddly ornate silver bracelet encircling his left bicep, but other than that, he appears to have nothing of value.

The young man wastes no time in jumping off the ship and scrambling onto the docks when the coast is clear. He's moving furtively now, running between piles of cargo crates as he tries to make his way to the city unseen. He's got a job to do, and he doesn't know if there are any enemies lying in wait for him.

Amazon has made it into the city at this point, and he is now regretting all of his life decisions. The lights! The noise! It's too much for the wild man to take in all at once, and he's now running through the city, looking for safety. He doesn't appreciate being approached--civilians he's accidentally run into are getting growled at and shoved aside as he runs away. Anyone who actively approaches him may be treated in much the same way, unless they're very careful about it. He's trying to make his way to a forest or park, though he couldn't really describe it that way. He just wants somewhere less bright and noisy.

[Venture City's park was a pretty big place. If Eiji ever had to compare it to another the first that came to mind was Shinjuku's own park back home in Japan. But that was good since with all of the large space meant there were a lot of places he could set up a temporary living space at. So that was what he was currently doing in an area that was a little way's away from any paths the park had running through it.]

Even a near-naked man at cargo'o'clock wouldn't have fazed Honey if he hadn't ran near a Very Special Place on the docks. (The Very Special Place, of course, is not marked by anything denoting it as such, but it's special, okay!! It just is!)

"Hey! Get away from there!"

[At last! Safety! Amazon's rushing through to what he thinks is safer ground, but then he stops short. There's another person here! That startles Amazon, and he immediately takes a defensive stance and growls. You're not going to attack him without a fight, strange person.]

[The noise catches his attention and Eiji turns to see the wild man. He knows a defensive stance when he sees one and stays right where he is.]

Amazon cares not for Very Special Places. He growls in surprise and jumps back at the woman suddenly showing up there. What's with this lady?

The suddenly-a-cop-after-a-flash comes stomping up. "You're in violation of public indecency!"

Nobody gets to just waltz into ♥Honey and Giza's♥ Very Special Place half-naked! Not only is it a travesty, but it hurts Honey's feelings! "Put on some clothes, mister!"

[Amazon growls and takes a few steps across the clearing. He's moving slowly, and he's not taking his eyes off Eiji for a second.]

There's a very uncertain growl here. Amazon has no idea what she's just said. He doesn't care about public indecency, and he doesn't know about putting on clothes, and he is really quite confused at this entire conversation. He takes a step back and offers a clearly bewildered grunt as an answer to that.

[Eiji puts his hands up in a appeasing gesture. See? No weapons or anything.]

[Amazon is starting to relax. Slightly. But now he just looks kind of lost.]

[Well, that's a good sign at least.]

Can I help you...?

[Amazon cocks his head to one side. He's not really good with words yet.]

Help...?

[What is help? Can you eat it? Amazon's kind of hungry...]

Honey doesn't speak growl or grunt! But it's a police officer's duty to assist, so she asks, "Is everything okay? Did somebody steal your clothes? Do you need a towel?"

[He nods his head but takes the time to study the other.]

Yes. Do you understand what I am asking?

[Just to be sure.]

Usually Joji avoided the docks during the day. He was someone that operated better at night anyways, and the hustle of the workers did not help him in acquiring items that he might need in his work. But today he had to visit the docks and talk to one of the captains over cargo they might not even know what it was for before they did something stupid with it, so there he was, the object in question now secured inside a cage of energy before stuffed into a bag. With his business done, he was going to leave but then he saw the half-naked beastman go running through the people, looking very much like an extra from some cheesy B movie.

Shaking his head, Joji probably would have left without stopping the guy, but then a bit of information came to mind. He moved in closer to get a better squint at the fellow and thus he was standing right in Amazon's way, head tilted to the side and eyes covered by his sunglasses.

Towel? What's a towel? Have a very uncertain wild man, because he has no idea what's going on here. Maybe he should run. He's thinking of running. See the way he keeps furtively glancing back the way he came? Totally thinking of bailing.

[Amazon still looks thoroughly uncertain about all of this.]

Hel-p. Help?

[And now he's playing with the sounds like this is all very new, which it is.]

Amazon had not been expecting to have his path blocked by a guy wearing sunglasses. He's never seen sunglasses before, and not being able to see the other man's eyes is startling, as is having the guy suddenly there in his path anyway. He snarls and takes a couple of steps back, his body language going all defensive as he prepares for what he thinks is going to be a fight.

[He'll take that as no.]

Could you tell me your name, then?

Joji was right. The strange guy in the loincloth was that one half-wild Rider he had input into the Driver years ago. This one seemed more wild than the one he had studied, but one of the rules he had always noticed concerning dimensional hopping was that a few basic principles were the same. He wore the Gigi Armlet so he had the capabilities of the Rider Amazon. He probably also had the same simple outlook on life.

Reaching up, he took the sunglasses off, moving slowly so not to shock or scare the wildman. Then tucking them into a pocket, he brought his hands together and made the strange symbol for friend.

"Do you know this?"

She notices the furtive looks, and considers the handcuffs. She's totally authorized to arrest people! She's dressed the part and everything!

But she doesn't have a police cruiser to hide him in while she drives him to a towel store. "You leave me no choice!"

And suddenly she's swinging at the top of his head with her baton. She'll have to knock him out while she gets a towel for him!!

[Headtilt. He has no idea what Eiji's saying.]

Name?

[He has never heard that word before. The pronunciation is more than a little uncertain.]

"Rargh!" Okay, this he seems to understand. She's attackimg him! Amazon dives and rolls to avoid the blow, and then jumps back to land atop one of the cargo crates. He is also growling and looking mighty hostile. If Honey's not careful, she's going to end up with a lizardman soon enough.

[Oh dear. Eiji has to think a little since there's an obvious language barrier here. Maybe...

He points to himself.]

Eiji.

Amazon still started back at that sunglasses removal, like he was preparing for something only he didn't know what.

That hand sign, however, somewhat disarms him. He makes the same hand sign right back at Joji. All of the hostility is gone from his body language.

[Oh. Okay, Amazon thinks he has this. He points at Eiji.]

Ei-ji.

[And then he points back at himself.]

Amazon.

[Progress! He smiles and nods.]

That's right!

[So his name was Amazon? That was interesting; being named after a rain forest.]

[Hey, smiling and nodding! Amazon can handle that much.]

Right?

[He doesn't know what that means, either.]

She misses! She stumbles! The baton hits the ground!

"Come back here, I need to get you a towel!"

And she starts trying to climb the cargo crate!

"You can't wear my clothes! I can take off the top—" Grunt. "—but I don't have extra pants!!" It doesn't seem to have sunk in that he can't understand her. Maybe that's a blessing.

It is definitely for the best that he can't understand her, though, really, he's already pretty wound up. He springs over to another nearby crate and growls warningly. He is not at all impressed with her climbing skills, but if she won't leave well enough alone, he'll have to defend himself.

"Kamen Rider Amazon," he said slowly, smiling a little. There were Riders in this dimension. That was good, though he wasn't sure what he was going to do about this one. How can he tame someone much more comfortable in the wilds than here?

"Do you want to go where it's green?"

"Amazon!" Amazon agreed, gesturing to himself. He knew his name, but the rest of his language skills weren't quite up to par. "Where green?" He was sort of rolling the words around, testing them a bit.

"I'm Joji," he replied, placing a hand on his chest to emphasize the point. He was a little surprised that his language was so rudimentary, but Joji just inwardly sighed and waved a hand at the people, cars, machines and noise.

"To trees and grass."

"Joji," Amazon repeats, testing out those syllables. They sound nice. At that next thing, he nods. "Tree. Tree!" Does he understand? Does he just like that word? Whatever, he seems enthusiastic enough.

Joji wasn't sure if he did, but he was going to act like Amazon knew what a tree was and lead him away from the docks. It was going to be slow going and one that will cross over some rough neighborhoods before the city opened up to the parks. He hoped he had the patience for it.

"Why are you here, Amazon?"

Amazon's really not sure why he's there. There was this thing with an Incan priest, and Skeletor did some bad stuff, and then there was a boat... "Find Omegafriends." For that was what the priest had ultimately wanted him to do. "Fight evil."

"You want the Omegafriends?"

Well. That wouldn't be too hard, even though he wasn't actually one himself. They could be found any where even when the city wasn't in danger. He wasn't sure about giving Amazon a watch to try to hook up to the network of theirs, but he could wait until the next disaster appears and then point Amazon in the right direction.

"You may have to wait for the Omegafriends to appear in order to be accepted into their group," he said slowly, wondering exactly how one does get invited into their HQ. "But there is a lot of evil in this place to fight while you wait."

"Omegafriends. Find." Amazon seems to like that idea, yes. It's one of the reasons he's come! Not that he's following everything else Joji's saying too well. "Fight evil!" This too seems to agree with the wild man.

"We shall, but it may take some time."

The next street was a busy one, filled with a lot of people moving from the docks to places of work and play and beyond to where the more respectable areas of the city laid. Joji stopped at the curb, ignoring the people who basically were stunned to see the wildman in his loincloth.

"Oh good, then this place is just for you."

"Time? Time." Maybe Amazon got that. Maybe he didn't. He didn't say anything else; he was too busy being overwhelmed by the busy street. This was almost too much for the jungle man to handle; he looked like he was seriously considering running. "For Amazon?"

"Lots of evil to fight."

Joji was trying to hurry them through this area. It wasn't the main streets of the city, only the safer area around the docks. He would hate to see poor Amazon on main street where the sidewalks were crowded and the streets packed bumper to bumper.

"We'll be there soon."

"Fight evil. Good." Amazon stayed close to Joji, this was still a lot for his poor jungle brain to comprehend. Main streets would have been far, far too much. "Soon?" He didn't really know what that word meant, but he's trying to learn.

"When the bad guys move, then Amazon can pounce."

Trying to come up with a simple way to explain matters was a little hard. Maye he should have stuck to sign language, but Joji only learned a couple of those during his brief time learning about Amazon.

Past the intersection, the crowds dispersed a little, and Joji took tot he alleys. True, the buildings leaned in close and there was little light, but at least there weren't so many people and vehicles this way. This whole venture was going to be interesting, at least far more entertaining than the usual chaos with the Omegafriends.

"I think we will need to help you in how to speak to people as well. Not very many people know the sign for friends."

"Amazon pounce." Amazon seemed to like the sound of that, even if he was warily eyeing those tall, looming buildings. They weren't tall trees. They looked dangerous. He didn't like them.

"How speak?" Though that was a good idea, it seemed as though Amazon would take quite a bit of work.
