[ Eas has been in town for a few days, and she's been spending most of it getting a feel for the area. Spots to target, local customs... Ugh, local customs. So much cheer and good will around, it's enough to make her sick. She's currently at the counter in the Rogue's Gallery, making further plans to her itinerary with the help of a tablet and an acceptable pub lunch. Just because she has to work with the likes of Stinkor doesn't mean she has to work where she can smell him.

Where to make her big debut? The bank? ...No, too obvious. Burger Shack? ...No, too... Westar. The high school? ...Not in summer. Of course, there's a more efficient way to get the answers she's looking for. She looks over at the nearest fellow suspicious character. Do they look like they'd know anything about the business of chaos and wicked deeds? And more importantly, do they look like they'd start trouble if she went up and asked? ]

[Venture Park]



[ Word has it that this is a popular spot for picnics and villain attacks alike. Seeing the local heroes fight in person would be a good move before starting off in her own campaign. And who knows, maybe she'll be able to tail one back to their base. Eas Setsuna can be found messing around with a deck of Tarot cards in the shade - if she wants to blend in, she'll need to take up an Earth hobby or two. ]

Depends on what you're after. I've been in this game a very long time, and I know a lot about this city.

First, though, I'd like to know who I might be helping out. Take a seat, order something. And then, give a clue-in.

[ She handled that so easily, Eas is almost offended. Scratch the almost, she's totally offended. So this is a hero in person, she's so nice it's sickening. People don't just act like that; it's weird and unfamiliar and whether it's an act or not, she's going to take advantage of it as much as she can. She opens her eyes, looking as frightened and uncertain as possible. ]

[ ...That's not unbelievable. Still, the full truth isn't going to happen. Even if world domination is a popular and respectable long-term goal, she's not going to spill the plans of her master and creator that easily. She slides in next to Eva and orders herself a tall glass of cranberry juice. ]

[ That much is fine, it's honestly not anything she's not going to eventually be announcing at the top of her lungs while summoning monsters in public. ]

You just fainted suddenly. I guess cars careening through this park is kind of unusual... Even for Venture.

[Of course, Eas didn't see the stress and panicked trying to remember first aid alongside how to use Lori's powers that just occurred; to Lori, this was never easy. Especially since she wasn't someone who liked to get press attention.

Quickly, she glanced over; okay, the teenager who was stupid enough to try and race the cops was okay, and the police had caught him on foot. Case handed over, more or less. She can focus on what looked to be the only medical case of this incident now. Fine by her.]

... "Time being", hrm? Interesting. Very interesting.

Pretty loose goals, though. If you want to pull much of worth, you're going to need to figure out how to outshine quite a few seasoned chaos-bringers in very short order. Capturing a big-name hero, serious injury to a few small-namers, or a big feat of destruction would all fit the bill to get a path like that started.

If you really want to make it big, though, you're going to need a score that gets the almost all of the Omegafriends on you. Something that puts Doctor Devious' little stunt two months ago in a really tiny place.

Perhaps you already have an idea or two?

[ Is she expected to be all right? She has no idea if the... whatever it is... would have worked on someone who was actually hurt. Better play it safe, then. She looks up at Sonicheart, still with her best disoriented act on. ]

...I think so? Everything happened so fast, and I'd never seen anything like it before I moved to Venture City, and... I suppose it was just too much all of a sudden.

[ Taking the smile a a go-ahead, Mato beams at her in return and takes the ball, bouncing it lightly (and, thankfully for both of them, more carefully this time) in her hands. ]

I was trying to practice for the basketball club at school and the ball got away. Which is probably a bad sign, but I'm going to keep practicing!

I've learned that this city has a tendency to break out in parties. Coordinated events full of large numbers of people enjoying themselves.

...But in order to compete on that level, an ordinary party wouldn't do at all.

Not at all! Practice enough, and I'm sure you'll make an excellent... I'm not actually sure what they call positions in basketball. Goalies? Centers?

[ She honestly knows zip about Earth Sports other than a few overheard conversations and incidental references gathered elsewhere, but she knows that it's not anything unusual for quiet girls to be totally clueless about them anyway. ]

[Lori, fortunately, is clueless about that, as she reached a hand out. This was just a civilian, she could help her, nothing was wrong, her paranoia was entirely unfounded she was sure. It usually was. Until it wasn't.]

The last time one of those broke out that wasn't a city holiday or something was Lord Disco like three decades ago. Way after disco was dead.

And it wasn't a very good fear-sparker.

I'm point guard! Or I will be, anyway! Because I'm really small and fast, get it? And point guard has to control the ball and make sure it gets to the right person when it needs to be there!

I'm not tall enough to be shooting guard [ as ironic as that would be ] but I'm still a good player!

City holidays, you say. The kind of thing that would involve the participation of everyone around, or near enough?

[ Setsuna manages to get upright with Lori's assistance... then staggers again, falling right into her. This would probably be a good chance to try stealing her Omegawatch, but there's no need to move that early and spoil her chance at rapport. ]

Well. Ten percent of town, more likely than average. No place can sanely fit millions of people, after all.

But more than enough to call civic identities into question, if you attacked in the right way.
