a day in the life...

[ Dick's Bikes was the place to go if you were a rough biker with a few loose morals and not that much money. One can work on their own bike, maybe swap out their bike for another bike, or if one was lucky enough, have enough money to get the mechanics involved in rebuilding a bike from getting turned into so much twisted metal, or do that mysterious thing that swaps out pieces to turn it into a different bike than the one that was brought in.
Joji was one of those mechanics, and a popular one as well. While the other workers look like the type that use bits of metal to chew on, he looked a little like he was just wasting time. At least he usually fixes the bikes he gets and makes them work better than normal. He also doesn't take that long in fixing anything and spends some of his time just hanging around, sitting on his work bench and gossiping with the other workers.
Want to bother him during that time? ]

[ There's a rumor going around from one low-life to another. It's not that big of a rumor to catch the ears of most supers - villain and hero alike - but it is something exchanged by the lowly goon and the hard-working average con artist. It's basically goes something like If you find a strangely colored coin, there's a guy at Zero's who will pay good cash for it. If asked around a bit more, someone at the bar might point out a rather normal Asian guy that sits at the counter, drinking teasince whiskey would push the ratings too high. He's only there for a couple hours at the most, and the regulars at the bar treat him like they are scared to make him mad.
Anyone want to bother him about this rumor? ]

[ Joji worked hard on converting an empty warehouse into a liveable habitat/workshop. There are still parts that don't work quite the right way, but for the most part, the living area is nice and roomy, with an upper floor for his private quarters and a lower part where anyone can just hang out and enjoy the comforts of urban living. The workshop side is still mostly brick and enclosed metal, with a long built in workbench and space for a few motorcycles (some still in parts), a fancy device that might be a laser scanner or possibly the beginning of a huge gun, and some fancy computers on standby.
Just anybody could walk into the building, but the moment they do, a breathless electronic voice would ask them who they were. Anyone want to see what happens if the voice isn't answered? ]

"What?!" And he's back down and over to Joji lighting-quick, grabbing for those Cell Medals. "Of course he does! What Greeed wouldn't want medals? Idiot!"
no subject
"You really should call me different things than just idiot." Joji seemed almost amused even as he dropped the two Medals for the Greeed to grab. "I cannot help that you are that different I know little about you."
no subject
"...hmph." The scientist had a point. He might have known enough to bring him back around, but not enough to really understand what he'd brought back. He lifts to a more conversational level, index finger pointed at Joji. "You already know how we're put together. Our Cell Medals form around our Core Medals. But have you figured out where the Cell Medals come from in the first place?"
no subject
There are some things that he learned today and one of the big ones was that creepy doll-carrying guy probably could answer everything and then some but won't talk to him after he slapped the doll. In fact, he wouldn't be surprised that the creep would try to do something to him, which would mean he needed to fix that computer.
"Unless you have another explanation for them."

"A properly-formed Greeed can create what's called a Yummy. A creature based off of a human's powerful desire. It goes out into the world and indulges that desire, building up Cell Medals all the while. When it's torn apart? The Cell Medals are released, free for the taking."
no subject
Which was pretty much something he had guessed a little. So a Yummy was needed for the Cell Medals, and the Greeeds needed them as well? It didn't sound good for the people possessed by the Yummy if they were torn apart.
"And your kind needs the Cells Medals?"

no subject
"If you get a form, a body of your own, will you be making Yummies?"
no subject
And yes, he has just admitted to Joji that he's going to do something that is very likely awful. And he does not seem to care one whit.
no subject
He knows and he doesn't care either. He was less of a hero than most people, though he would defend the weak if he had to. His main goal in life was to learn more and if a few eggs got broken in the process, well he just will have to be careful later on.
"A fully functioning body that would be a blank slate."
no subject
"...what are you getting at?"
no subject
It was either that or Anhk actually couldn't hold on to a body for a very long period of time. Whatever the case, he could build one, make it match the signature he had read during the early stages to fixing the Core Medal, thus making it better than a regular body. Joji knew enough people that would be improved by having a Greeed take over them but that would mean removing their personalities and that was one step down to being a henchperson again.
"But that is later on. Rest if you want; I'll think it over some more."
no subject
"If you can do it, do it." And with that said, he floats back to his throw-blanket nest. Perhaps he'd go and see if he had a tablet or phone or something lying around that he could yoink, to do a little research... but for now, he wanted to rest.
