The attack, indeed, hit Lori easily, snapping the case and causing three of the four rods to clatter to the ground. Worse, Unit Mir was collapsing, forcing Lori to change tactics - and quickly.

She moved for Mir, raising a hand and firing a paired wave towards Mir to give her a burst of energy - hopefully enough to get her up so Lori could help her escape, and then retrieve the remaining rods.

Defeating Viktor was likely out of the question at the immediate moment, unfortunately.
