Cael Cafe's Start of the Day [Action+Text]
Sebastian's Cael Cafe, 10 AM
The kid had to admit, he'd much prefer to hunt down this Dr. Devious woman. But he had business to attend to this morning: The Cafe. While the morning rush was over, everyone was at work at this point, there was still plenty of people in the cafe. Mostly people who liked to call themselves writers while looking over blank screens and talking about ideas. I'll admit I don't know what kind of writers those are, I'd just assume they are being ironic by not writing anything. The Kid though had a business to run and he was pretty good at it. He'd probably attend to the business concerning the other heroes until later. He had managed to get a decent night manager, but for the morning it was him and his employees.
The Kid though did have a tendency to attract different heroes to his place anyways despite people not knowing The Kid's real name. So not knowing who was the black shirted, white haired stripling keeping the business of the work in order. Though the fact he served a special selection of drinks that could boost even a normal person's powers probably was attractive to everyone. Though a superhero would have to prove their status to get access to the full power drink selection. I taught the Kid most of them, but he had certainly been creative to make a business out of it and try to make more.
Though he did post something to the Omagefriends network.

Action;
His order? Four scrambled eggs, american cheese melted on it, and three orders of sausage, two of bacon, and come ham on the side.
Re: Action;
"Heh, you do not look like my usual fare. What is your name?"

When the Kid walked over, Mat didn't even realize that this guy was part of the staff until he spoke.
"Who. Me?" Of course him. "I'm Shadow." Doesn't matter if he only uses his call name, right? It's easier -not- to have a secret identity anyway.
no subject
"Good to meet you Shadow. I'm Sebastian, I run this cafe. You are a hero, right?"
no subject
"Nice to meet you too. And-- I dunno. Junior grade maybe. I'm supposed to go to a meeting after this and get talked to about getting a mentor with the omega friends."
no subject
"Pleasure to meet you as well. Would you like to see our special drink list for heroes?"
no subject
"What kinda drinks?" This didn't look like that kind of place.

The Kid's knowledge of windbags mostly was around creatures named Windbags, vaguely sentient.

"That sounds cool. Do they just boost the powers you have or give you new ones?" Or was it just a marketing scheme?

The kid pulls a menu from his pocket before handing it over to the lion. Rather dexterous with those paws.
"They boost the powers you have mostly, but some enable healing while others enable special skills that you would not have the ability to perform otherwise. Though that only works if you know the special skills in question."

Taking the menu, considering the things that Sebastian is telling him. Interesting, actually. Boosting his own skills, his strength... That could certainly come in handy!
Scanning the sheet for details of the drinks, then his eyes fall on the prices and the corners of his mouth crease. That's more money than he has to spend on a single outing, and his diet was expensive enough!
"So you've got these boosters. They're sort of out of my price range unless you wanna give me a free sample."

The kid was somewhat right. Other than the Bastion, getting most of the ingredients on Earth was out of the question. The bastion wasn't huge either.
no subject
"Is there anyway to get more?" He wouldn't know how of course, but he was going to assume that was a stupid question just ahead of time.
"Do you get alot of-- Uh. Demand? Do lots of people want to drink em?"
no subject
The kid didn't have much more to say.

Of course, it would help if he actually knew what the kid was talking about.

"Caeldonia? Some other world?" And he can just go back and forth?
"Can't you just breed them?"

"I'm not sure I'd tell other people what it's really made of."

It doesn't really make it any less gross. "I guess I'd have to try it first. It still sounds weird..."
no subject
"All right, I'll get you some diluted squirt cider than. It's a lot cheaper."
As the kid headed back, the lion got his food. It wasn't long before the kid got him a small glass of the stuff. It was blue and had a fruity aroma. It would smell somewhere between apples and oranges, though brewed a bit and slightly musty aftertaste.
no subject
"Here goes nothing..." Aside from a few extra dollars. An expensive energy shot?
He took the glass between his paws and lifted it to his mouth so he could drink, knocking it back into his large mouth. To him it tasted a bit bland, but the musty taste he actually quite liked, oddly enough.
"Hmm. Okay. I was wrong. It's not gross."
no subject
"We know what we are doing. Though some of the drinks does taste like you are eating dirt though, those are more for the health benefits."
no subject
"They say everything that's good for you tastes like sawdust or cardboard. It's why we got so many people who're fat." Less a joke, just a truthful observation.
He ate up the last of his meal and nodded to him. "What do I owe you?" He was fishing out a twenty from the pocket of his pants. Not an easy thing with no fingers.

The kid stood up and headed towards the back now. The waiter came back over, giving Shadow the check. It was somewhat expensive, but nothing the lion couldn't manage.
