Meta-humans are like everyone else, Commissioner, some are easier to get along with than others. But with all due respect, I don't think telling them that they're not wanted is going to encourage that.

I don't want them interfering in police business any more than I want any other civilian interfering in police business. But there are "special considerations" if you can bench press a limo and wear colorful clothing.

No, our powers don't place us above the law. One thing to think about though.

Every meta-human has to make a choice about what to do with their powers. Theoretically, any member of the Omegafriends, myself included, could have made the choice to take what we want, and damn the consequences. But we didn't. We're here because we want to help, Commissioner, to do what we can to make the world a better place for everyone.

I'm not saying you should just let anything fly, because you shouldn't, but let us help. We're on the same side, and I think we can do a lot more good working together than we can separately.

[It isn't hard to tell that this is a hard call for Vimes to make. It's more than understandable given his position on the matter, and the fact that he gets a "We'll see" is better than he had expected.]
