[Zero's is one of those places where people go to get away from such things as law, order and health inspectors. it was also populated by rough bikers and rougher dock workers, which made Joji stand out. he sat at the counter, chatting with the server over a pot of tea while a scraggly cat sat on his shoulder very much like a pirate's parrot.]

[because this was a pg-13 show, the bar only serves non-alcoholic drinks and there wasn't anyone smoking outside of the guy who can become smoke, so there is that. however, it was still a seedy place and joji was pretty comfortable in such a setting.]

[A few heads turn at the name. Kotetsu hunkers his head down and speaks to Joji behind his hand.]

He leads him around to the back of the bar to his bike. Joji rummages around in the saddlebag and then tosses an odd-looking buckle at Kotesu. ]

Not really. [ The center piece which looked like a stylized tiger's face, lit up at Kotesu's touch. ]

The suits I make use both nano-tech and protons, and are usually easily carried in small devices like that. To activate it, all you need to do is say your code name and press on the face.

[ Ever wanted to be a magic girl? That's what it feels like as the air shimmers and the armor just builds itself around him, weaving elements around him until he was inside an armored suit. ]

It should be light-weight, flexible, and giving you enough protection against normal weapons like guns and flamethrowers, as well as most common back alley weapons as clubs and bats. You won't be extremely protected, so I would suggest to try not to take on a whole army of thugs without your powers on.

[ Joji calmly walks up to him and raps his knuckles on the one shoulder protection. ]

The advantages of having a suit like this is that you do not need to dress for concealing it so long as you have the switch. The disadvantage of it is that the switch can be misplaced so I would suggest to put on something you always have on you. One of the most common ways people carry similar suits are on belt buckles.

[ Of course, he could design something a little less easy to lose, but that would mean a bit more work than he was willing to do for a non-Rider. ]

Even without your power active, it should give you an edge against opponents that are not armored. It can be a little like riot gear in that respect since I do think that you have had a lot of training in plain combat.

Now, you should have a small reading running on the eyepiece, correct?

[Hooooooooly heck. This is a thing, all right. Looks like the sort of outfit you'd get on some of the shows he watched as a kid! He's gonna have to get used to the color scheme, though.]

They are readings for your surroundings. Some of it is standard like your body temperature and heart rate, but the set you should pay close attention to are the ones that read zero right now. When you activate your abilities, that set should come online.

[Not quite as nice as something to extend his abilities, but works as well as anything.]

How else would you be able to tell when your ability will die on you? The suit should be able to amplify the length of your abilities as well.

[ He felt it was elementary to have one built in, especially since Kotetsu asked for a booster. He was enjoying this, the suit working a little better than he had hoped considering the drawbacks of this backwards planet. But when he asked about price, Joji made a face. ]

No catch or anything. You are a hero, correct? You will not lift a hand against someone who isn't causing others pain, right? Then I have no need for a fee so long as that holds true.

But if you fall, I shall come looking, understand?

Heh. I can guarantee you this much: You don't have to worry about THAT possibility. I'll take good care of your craftwork, believe me.
