[There's a new superhero face that pops up onto the screen, all in light blues and whites with a simple mask on her face and dark, curled hair falling off screen. She looks a little uncertain, pulling some of her hair over her shoulder and finger-combing it for a moment before she speaks.]

This is a little embarrassing to ask, but-- I'm new to this whole Superhero business, does anyone have any pointers? I've not gotten in any real trouble yet, but I certainly don't want to cause more trouble when I'm supposed to be helping.

[Out of her Super uniform, Hina is just dressed in a stylish light blue sundress with a white lace bolero and a tan sunhat, walking from class to the park with her sketchbook in her purse and her phone in her hand. She was texting her brother, more than likely, and possibly could have stood to be paying a bit more attention to where she was walking.]

[Ooops, that's someone else who probably should pay more attention to where he's going. You know, after getting attacked in the park, you would think he'd stay out of it.]

Oof! Sorry- my mistake.

[She walks straight on into him and keeps going for a half a second, then bounces back and shouts, immediately bowing and apologizing in Japanese before she catches herself and stands up, folding her phone and dropping it into her purse.]

I'm sorry-- I wasn't wat-- Eiji?

Huh?

[Oh. Wait. That was another person calling him Hino- Eiji. It probably didn't make sense to call your brother by his last name.]

Oh- No, no, no. My name's Tomoki. Sorry.

[Her eyebrows climb toward her hairline and she takes a small step toward him, tipping her hat up to look at him better.]

Gosh, you look just like my friend. Exactly like him. Just with... shorter hair, and a more business-casual fashion sense. [She gives him a once-over. Gosh, Eiji would clean up nice. That's funny.]

[Hm. Now, Tomoki could just explain but he's wondering if he could get some info about Eiji from her if he played his cards right.]

[Tomoki you really need to learn how to turn the reporter off.]

Really? Well they do say you have a double out there somewhere. What's he like?

[She's starting to wonder if this isn't just Eiji playing a joke on her. She smiles a little shifting her weight and hefting her purse some.]

Mm, you could say he's the sort of person the world needs more of.

[Well that's a pretty hefty compliment. He keeps his expression mild but he lets the surprise show.]

That's quite a statement. You must be really fond of him.

[Either Eiji has learned how to take a compliment or this actually... is just someone that looks alarmingly like him. He'd have gotten all fussed about her saying that. She frowns slightly, but then nods.]

We worked together, in Japan. He, ah... Saved my brother's life.

That depends. Just what exactly do you usually end up fighting? Normal criminals, giant mutated monsters, or super villains?

Tips for one of those won't work for the others.

Ah, that's true. I've come upon one villain I knew from home, though I'm not sure what classification he falls under. He... was, at one point, human, though I am pretty sure he isn't anymore.

If you'd be willing, any tips you have across the board would help, since I may run into all three.

[Hina you're entirely too pleased about this prospect.]

We do have a basic training course down at the Omegabase, so you can run through all kinds of situations. Mostly, you should try to think on your feet and not freeze up when you're surprised.

Oh, is there? I should have thought of that.

[That was certainly interesting. He smiles and does look appropriately surprised.]

No kidding? He sounds like a pretty nice guy, then.

Don't feel to bad, lots of people forget that the simulators exist.

I try to get a lot of time in on them though, since my superpowers aren't much good in combat directly, they just give me chances to get up and try again.

Well, if I'm only going to be able to give the vaguest and most general of hints then the first thing I need to suggest is this:

Do use any super powerful abilities that cause a lot of property damage unless you don't have any other choice. Even if all that happens is that property is damaged and no one is hurt, dealing with it after is more trouble than it's worth.

The circumstances were a bit unusual, but... my brother's condition was how we met, actually.

[She nods, though.] He tried to tell me at first that he wasn't a nice person. I don't think he made that point very well in the end.

[Yes, Hina really should have been paying more attention to where she was walking. Because Ankh was hitching a ride in her purse, collapsed into an exhausted pile of medals and pseudo-medals. When she brushes against someone and the purse jostles, his various parts go jangling all over. He does not like it.]

Hnnggh...

[But with much effort (and a sound that's midway between a hum and a schlorp) he pulls himself back together and sticks his hand out crossly.]

Watch where you're going! Don't forget that I'm in here!

I guess that would make sense.

Oh? What are your powers, if you don't mind me asking?

[She yelps, having definitely forgotten about her bird carry-on. She stops where she's walking and folds her phone shut, making a face.]

Ankh! I'm sorry, you were so quiet I almost did forget. Are you all right?

Oh, of course! My powers aren't especially "super", I'm just very strong. I'm always careful to be mindful of where I am so I don't destroy anything.

[She frowns, thinking.] ...Does that happen often?

He does sort of seem like the type to not take flattery very well.

[Tomoki you need to stop.]

[She tilts her head. He certainly doesn't have much to go on to have come to that conclusion. A moment later, she shakes her head and smiles.]

Not especially, no. I guess you could say he's very humble.

I uhhh...I can't die. Not violently.

[Blinks.]

Well I suppose that is... Convenient?

[Funny they should be talking about him since Eiji just so happened to be passing by. He's quick to spot Hina and his expression brightens.]

[And he'll be walking on over to the both of them now.]
