a day in the life...

[ Dick's Bikes was the place to go if you were a rough biker with a few loose morals and not that much money. One can work on their own bike, maybe swap out their bike for another bike, or if one was lucky enough, have enough money to get the mechanics involved in rebuilding a bike from getting turned into so much twisted metal, or do that mysterious thing that swaps out pieces to turn it into a different bike than the one that was brought in.
Joji was one of those mechanics, and a popular one as well. While the other workers look like the type that use bits of metal to chew on, he looked a little like he was just wasting time. At least he usually fixes the bikes he gets and makes them work better than normal. He also doesn't take that long in fixing anything and spends some of his time just hanging around, sitting on his work bench and gossiping with the other workers.
Want to bother him during that time? ]

[ There's a rumor going around from one low-life to another. It's not that big of a rumor to catch the ears of most supers - villain and hero alike - but it is something exchanged by the lowly goon and the hard-working average con artist. It's basically goes something like If you find a strangely colored coin, there's a guy at Zero's who will pay good cash for it. If asked around a bit more, someone at the bar might point out a rather normal Asian guy that sits at the counter, drinking teasince whiskey would push the ratings too high. He's only there for a couple hours at the most, and the regulars at the bar treat him like they are scared to make him mad.
Anyone want to bother him about this rumor? ]

[ Joji worked hard on converting an empty warehouse into a liveable habitat/workshop. There are still parts that don't work quite the right way, but for the most part, the living area is nice and roomy, with an upper floor for his private quarters and a lower part where anyone can just hang out and enjoy the comforts of urban living. The workshop side is still mostly brick and enclosed metal, with a long built in workbench and space for a few motorcycles (some still in parts), a fancy device that might be a laser scanner or possibly the beginning of a huge gun, and some fancy computers on standby.
Just anybody could walk into the building, but the moment they do, a breathless electronic voice would ask them who they were. Anyone want to see what happens if the voice isn't answered? ]

[Amazon relaxes some at seeing Joji, for he knows Joji. He needed someone familiar right about now.]
Tree strange. Amazon like.
[This is about as close as he gets to "I like what you've done with the place" small talk.]
no subject
[He pulled off his headphones and put them on a table and wandered over to teh kitchen area.]
Are you hungry?
no subject
[Amazon followed Joji into the kitchen area--he was never one to turn down the offer of a free meal..]
no subject
[He doesn't wait for a response as he digs out the ingredients. A container of kimchi was taken out and he scoops a large portion out of it to place in a bowl, cover it and sticks it into the microwave to warm it up. Ramen packets comes out as well and he starts the water on the boil.]
How are you doing with meeting the Omegafriends?
no subject
[Amazon does not seem familiar with these terms, and he watches Joji with great interest.]
No meet. Hard.
[The jungle man sounds a little dejected at that.]
no subject
[Well this will definitely be an experience for the jungle man. The microwave dings and Joji pulls out the bowl of kimchi, sitting it on the counter to rest while he works on the ramen.]
I'm sure you'll meet them one of these days.
no subject
[But has he even had cabbage before, Joji? Amazon's still very curious.]
Amazon hope that soon.
no subject
So do I.
Food is down. Please sit down... Just not on the table.
no subject
Food smell good.
no subject
Careful, it's hot.
no subject
[Amazon nods and blows on the food to cool it. Yes, he's making good progress.]
no subject
Joji himself used his chopsticks to mix his ramen and kimchi together and then eats.]
no subject
He sees Joji mixing the food together with his chopsticks, so he'll just mimic that...with his fingers.]
no subject
[Joji points that out by using his chopsticks before taking a big stick full of the mixture and slurps it up.]
no subject
[Amazon sounds skeptical as he reaches into the bowl and shovels some of the mixture into his mouth. But the food's good, as evidenced by the speed with which he shovels another bit into his mouth.]
no subject
[He's not sure if Amazon knows much about bathing so is going to try to keep it very simple.]
no subject
[He used to live in the rainforest; he knows all about getting wet.]
no subject
[if he was lucky, Amazon would definitely like to see it and get wet, at least for the second it takes him to turn the water on.]
no subject
[Amazon seems thoroughly intrigued by this idea.]
Amazon want see.
no subject
[It can't be that easy, now can it?]
no subject
[And now he's eating faster. It may very well be this easy!]
no subject
[He just eats, watching Amazon shove away the food like it was going out of style.]
no subject
Amazon ready. Want see.
