The Novel Guardian
[Action]
While Spark was quite excited about being accepted into the Omegafriends, the fact the base was sealed off put a rain on her parade. She took a few moments to study the inscription on it which is to say Zapps took a photo of it before she decided to rip through it. "BLADES!" She yelled before charging up her arm blades. She cut a precise round hole through the first layer of blocks, using as high energy blades as she could muster. "SOLAR PANELS!" She stated, loudly. It would draw attention how she shouted her moves before doing them no doubt. Her thrusters changed into solar panels, basking in the warm sun of mid day.
Finding another layer of rock, Spark let out a long, frustrated growl. She brought her fist back and punched this wall, which just hurt them both. She was still in blades mode, not fists! She clutched her hand, flailing it around some to let out the soreness. Then she noted the extra clues on this layer. What was this all about? She knew Blue Bird or Lady Blue or Big Blue had been up to something, but she wasn't entirely up to speed on her taking the base or whatever she did.
Maybe someone might help her?

"So the base seems to be blocked off or whatever. I don't know. Do we have a new meet up point as heroes or we just in limbo on that? Also anyone see the symbols? I took a few pictures of what I saw before giving up. I figure security for the Omegabase doesn't work like that."
"Oh, right. I'm The Electrical Current! New on the team and all that. Nice to meet you all."

Not that she was implying removing them, but injuries sometimes disabled them for some time.

Still trying to meet people on the team, what's your name?
[Sure, you can check name on the network, but polite to ask right?]

Unfortunately I know no more than anyone else at this point. I count myself fortunate I was not IN the omegabase when the "theft" occurred.

Did you hear anything about the Protector or anyone figuring out a temporary meeting site? Would like to get to know my teammates better.

"Having some trouble?"
no subject
"Yeah, finally get accepted into the Omegafriends and the base is bricked up. Figuring this is a villain plot. Was going to check the network for details. What you doing here?"
no subject
"Is there not a special means of entering the base?" He asked the question before he registered she'd asked one of her own, and frowned at himself before doubling back, mentally. "I just happened by," he said, which probably sounded sketchy. Rei had a habit of sounding sketchy on a regular basis.

"I'm called The Electric Current, by the way." She offered a hand to him. Figured that might help the situation. To her, I just happened by was a pretty good explanation. Which was odd since she was normally so suspicious.

At her introduction of herself and her extended hand, he pivoted quickly and looked perplexed for a fraction of a second before he took her hand, shaking it firmly, once.
"Rei," he returned.

"Sounds good. I would normally do it myself, but I don't even know where to start for those symbols. New to the planet and all," She said, rubbing her head some, "As for being stolen, that seems... hard to believe. I mean, I see the evidence, but there must be something more precise for this than a real theft. I mean, is there a human thief capable of stealing entire buildings?"
no subject
"New to the planet," he repeated, a smile quirking one corner of his lips for a moment. "Welcome, then. I hope you find your stay here pleasant." A brief laugh, and he shrugged both shoulders. "Super Villains tend to be capable of amazing feats that defy logic and several laws of physics."
no subject
"Thanks for the welcome. Don't get to do normal stuff that much around here yet. At the men look nice," She stated, as if this was no big deal.
no subject
"That is true, I haven't taken note of many villains with power of the elements. Heroes, either." He drew his fingers around in an oblong shape across his cheek in thought for a long moment, and then pushed that hand away from his face with his other, his posture loosening again. When he spoke a second time, his voice was back to the softer, airy tone of before. "It's not something we need to be especially concerned with."
He didn't quite seem to comprehend Spark's appraisal of the male population, though less in a way that he didn't understand and more that it flew right over his head. He was a little bit dense, and a lot new to human interaction as a whole. He did quirk a small half-smile at the comment, because it seemed like the thing to do.

It was clear after a few moments she was stretching out a little bit. "So, you a hero? Or just a bystander?"
no subject
He chuffed a little when she asked after him.
"Neither, really," he said. "I'm a cameraman. I'm not part of the OmegaFriends by any means," Correction: not that he remembered. "But I tend to get mixed up in a lot of "hero" business in my line of work."

"I could wait for a reporter," he said mildly. "But the friend of mine who is one isn't always the most punctual of people, so I'll snap a few on my own." And so he did, moving forward to get a few photos of the writing on the wall encasing the base.

"From here, I think." Because he didn't really know, for sure.

"I only remember so much," he said airily, fiddling with his camera to avoid eye contact.
