Thanks to someone STEALING the Omegabase (and associated training facilities), Princess Pegasus doesn't have anywhere to practice. On the bright side, heroes of justice always find a way!

So that's why there's an armor-clad, masked heroine practicing in the park today. Over to the side is her pegasus, Sky Dancer, who is watching the proceedings with an air of pained indulgence. Currently, the heroine seems to be in the shadowboxing portion of her regime. Maybe she'd be down to show others? It's worth a shot, right?

Princess Pegasus is just going to earn a stare from Rozalin. Why is there a random superhero in the park? Why did she even come out today? What's the point, in other words?

The point is the relentless pursuit of MARTIAL PERFECTION, so that she might continue to DISPENSE JUSTICE. Like a vending machine that, in addition to cooling the parched throats of the innocent, also beat up criminals!

...that metaphor got a little weird, sorry.

Anyway, Princess Pegasus is really into her training, so unless Rozalin actually says something she's...prrrrrobably not going to notice her.

Sky Dancer, on the other hand, does notice the girl staring at her mistress, and decides to investigate her, because like all pegasi - pegasuses? - she vastly prefers being around women.

Have a large, winged horse snuffling at you, Rozalin.

Rozalin, being completely ignorant of her surroundings at the best of times when she's focused on something, completely misses the horse until it's right up on her and gives a shriek.

...This close though, the animal might be able to detect the scent of hellfrost and dry ice. Trapped in a human body she might be, but Rozalin is no human, and her spirit is a dark one. And it seeps out through her pores, especially when she's frightened or startled.

Wow that is a super-ominous scent! Between that and the screaming, Sky Dancer will just canter away a little bit, her wings flaring out. Princess Pegasus reacts immediately, of course!

"FEAR NOT, INNOCENT MAI-eh?"

She cuts off in her reflexive Justice Speech when she realizes there is no crime being committed, just a girl being startled by her Faithful Steed. Time to rush over and apologize, then!

"Oh, I'm sorry! Sky Dancer didn't mean any harm; she just really likes being around girls."

Rozalin was a bit too taken aback by the sudden Winged Horse to notice until the last of that bit. "What? Is this your animal? How-why..." The blond gave up and burried her face in her hands.

"What are you doing out here?" That seemed like a safer place to start.

"Lady Blue stole the Omegabase, so I need to practice somewhere."

Very matter-of-fact.

"Don't superheroes have hidden training dojos in the Himalayas, or some sort of fortress in the arctic where they ca escape the call of the world?" Rozalin glanced around, and indeed there were a lot of people watching Princess Pegasus train. Probably more than was normal to stand around gawking in the park.

It was clear that this wasn't how things needed to Be Done. Someone, somewhere, wasn't holding up to Standards.

"Some heroes, yeah! Mine was in the hidden, super-advanced underground base that was beneath the city - before it got stolen, anyway."

Slight pause.

"...also, what are the Himalayas?"

[rose_liberated]

"Yes, but I don't think you can call that yours, can you? I mean, it's more a team thing, isn't it?"

Ahh, pointless trivia. Rozalin loves to flaunt that. "The Himalayas are the largest mountains in the world, with eight of the ten tallest peaks on the planet. They are home to secret monasteries where it is said, ancient martial secrets are passed on to the worthy."

Princess Pegasus' eyes are wide behind her mask.

"Ohhh, that sounds AMAZING! How far away are they?"

[rose_liberated]

Rozalin was a bit taken aback by this sudden display of eagerness. "I don't know really. About ten thousand kilometers? It's very far, across the ocean, I know that much."

[pega_pony_princess]

That sets her enthusiasm back a bit as she trades glances with the horse.

"...aww, crackers! Sky Dancer's amazing, but even she can't fly that far!"

[rose_liberated]

"You certainly might be better served by an air liner than by your...pegasus in these matters." Rozalin gave the horse a warry glance and stepped backwards. "She doesn't chew on hair or anything, does she?

[pega_pony_princess]

"Oh, no! Not at all!"

A slight pause before the addendum.

"...she does bite, sometimes, but only unfamiliar males."

[rose_liberated]

"Well, it's not like there aren't quite a few of those around here, hmmm?"

Rozy, she's not going to get the hint.

[pega_pony_princess]

No, probably not.

"Oh hey! If you want, I could show you some self-defense moves?"

[rose_liberated]

"I don't need tutelage like that. Why are you offering?" This was just strange. Were all so-called superheroes like this?

[pega_pony_princess]

Thoughtful pause.

"Well, Sky Dancer did startle you, so I thought I could show you how to throw a punch to make up for it?"

[rose_liberated]

"I don't hold with punching. There are more effective, less brutish ways of self defense."

[pega_pony_princess]

"Oh, okay!"

...water off a duck's back, seems like.

"So, anyway, I'm PRINCESS PEGASUS! It's nice to meet you, citizen!"
