02 - Pull Yourself Together
A - Venture Park, closed to Eiji Hino
This city was one strange, dangerous place. If it wasn't one thing keeping him from finding that blasted hobo, it was another. (Mostly, he was choosing to blame that weird purple Greeed for making messes and getting in his way.) But today he was determined to find Eiji Hino. He had reached the limits of how far he could grow while nesting at Joji Yuki's lab, or while huddled shamefully at the bottom of Hina Izumi's purse.
Mind you, Ankh has absolutely no patience left. There is no room for subtlety and stealth in his plans today. "EIJI! HEY! EIJI!!!" So there is now a very noisy floating hand rushing through Venture Park at inappropriate speeds. One that cares not for who he bothers or how much attention he's drawing.
B - Venture City in general
When you're more than just a floating hand, there are more things that you can do. Like actually go into an ice cream shop, purchase multiple ice cream bars (with money that was gotten via earlier pickpocketing, but let's not go there), and sit down to eat them all. Even if they don't taste like anything. Even if they don't feel like anything. They're supposed to taste sweet and feel cold, and maybe if he eats enough of them, he'll get something out of it.
But so far, it's just serving to tick him off, for obvious reasons and for reasons that feel just a few inches outside of his grasp. He looks very, very grumpy, for a man with that much ice cream stacked in front of him.

"Ankh?"

This lasted for all of five seconds because Eiji obviously wasn't in front of him yet, and thus the search wasn't over. "...Eiji! OVER HERE!!!" And now he's charging boldly over bushes and around trees, in the direction of the voice that he'd heard.

Ankh's charge doesn't stop once Eiji's in sight, oh no. This is the most important person in existence, as far as he's aware, and he's not just going to settle for lingering near him. Once he's close enough he grabs for Eiji's shirt as though to hold him in place. "...where the heck have you been?!"
Way to ruin the moment, Ankh.

"I've been around."

"You're going to help me find the rest of my Core Medals!" This is not a request. This is a demand. That's what this man is for, right?
no subject
"I have them with me."
So simmer down, they're not going anywhere anytime soon.

When he's made sure the Greed won't be trying to shake him he'll bring out the medal case and open it up. Picking up the Kujaku and Condor Medals, he holds them out to the other, "Here."

He's on a rocky, sandy shoreline, fighting with Eiji Hino. Fighting desperately, knowing that it's for survival. Eiji Hino needs to be ended, or he'll keep him from what he wants most. They struggle wildly, stumble into the water, and Eiji throws him down into it. He tastes salt. He's chilled to his core. "What is it you want, anyway?! To become human?"
"It's much simpler than that!" He struggles to sit, he gasps for breath. "The one thing that'll let me taste the world! Life!" And that gives Eiji pause. Long enough for him to lash out, kick the man, throw him into the water. "Greeed aren't really alive. We're just things." He rises slowly, dripping wet. "And yet we've got more desire than humans. So much that no matter what we do, it's never enough! Can you understand what that's like?!"
"I do." No hesitation on Eiji's part. None. "I mean it. I really do. But I'm still going to stop you." And on they fight, harder, more violently, shouting about desire, about life, about everything that matters between them, until Ankh backhands him, shouting that he should want something for a damn change, then jumps him and straddles him and pulls him up by the collar.
"I wanted...." He's crying? "There was something I wanted once, but... I gave up on it. I tried to focus on just what was in front of me." There's something terrible behind Eiji eyes, something he can't identify. "The power to help people, no matter how far off they are! More, and more.... and then I got it." His voice catches. "You gave it to me."
His fingers clutch at the air as he remembers it all. And when memory and feeling stop overwhelming him, he jerks, spins in the air, and regards Eiji with nothing more to say.
"Thank you." He said, with utter sincerity.

"Ankh?"
no subject
"...this is better." Which vanishes almost immediately. He rolls his shoulders, strides forwards, and then reaches out to grasp at Eiji's shoulder. It seems as though he might say more, but then he releases the man and turns away. "Where are the rest of them?"
no subject
"These are the only ones left. The rest were destroyed."
He looks down at the open case in his hands. The one other Taka Medal, with three green, three blue, three yellow, and three grey medals were all arranged neatly inside. Although that was a small lie what with Maki being back, thus the Purple Cores were also still intact.

His eyes flit down to the open medal case, then. There were sets of three, yes, and one left there because.... "Hey!" No time to think. Just grab. Ankh snatches for the remaining Taka Medal.
no subject
"Well, they were. At least the ones that weren't--ah...."
He sees Ankh grab the last Taka Medal. There goes Tatoba along with Tajador... unless he can convince Ankh to let him have it.
no subject
"What happened to the rest?! And where did you get them in the first place?!"
no subject
And you had died after that. That is left unspoken.
"Your Core Medal, and the ones in here, were the only ones that weren't lost."
no subject
If those Medals are all that's left, and his core had needed restoration, then did the others meet the same fate? He'd never gotten a proper answer.
no subject
"They're all gone too."
no subject
"...what are you even doing with that belt? With all that power?"
no subject
The last three years he had spent wandering the world once more he had used the power of OOO to help protect people. But it hadn't been the sole reason; Ankh had been a big driving force behind his traveling and now here he was.
no subject
"You need a medal keeper. Don't you?" Of course he did. He'd have to.
