Tsubomi didn't know if this was going to work, but it was worth a try. The matter of giving Itsuki the Omegawatch had been an... ordeal, but it had gone relatively well enough, and so Tsubomi was feeling confident.

She was going to ask Yuri to spend some time with her! The older girl needed it, and besides... in a way, Yuri was her first friend, wasn't she? Aside from Chypre, of course...

So, taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door of Yuri and her mother's apartment. One venture had paid off, why not another?

Opening the door, Yuri looks a little dumbstruck to find Tsubomi just standing there, unannounced. She blinks a little and adjusts he glasses, before tilting her head to one side and just asking: "Tsubomi? Is something wrong?"

"Hello, Yuri!" Tsubomi exclaimed, with no small amount of chipperness. Talking to her didn't inspire the same amount of nervousness as Itsuki did, so it came more naturally.

"No, nothing's wrong, I... I just thought maybe I'd see if your were busy...!"

Yuri takes one look at her, then back into her home. Her mother was at work, so... no excuses there. Nor really excuses at all, as all she'd been doing was... well.

Reading.

Sighing, she turns her gaze back to Tsubomi. "No, I... suppose I'm not."

"I see!" replied Tsubomi, feeling her heart swell. "Well, then... um..."

Oh, wait. There's the nervousness.

"Would you maybe like to... hang out together...?"

Tsubomi, what is this "hang out" you speak of. Yuri takes a good few moments to catch up to this, conceptually. Once she does her eyes widen just a bit.

"You mean, just..." she trails off, and frowns. Her knee jerk reaction is to find some excuse out of it, and with her standing there 'no, I have a book to go read,' probably isn't going to fly. Plus, does she really want a way out?

"...you took me off guard a bit there," she says quietly, and brushes her hair back out of her face. "Doing... what, then?"

"Well..."

Tsubomi tapped her chin thoughtfully. "I want to get to know you better, so um... what would you like to do? Anything, Yuri! You just name it!"

Tsubomi, you've known her for months. But... Yuri would have to admit that there wasn't exactly a lot of time just spent getting to know one another, outside their "work." She gazes at the other girl for another moment, and shifts her eyes just slightly off to the side so they don't have to meet hers.

"Well, there's an exhibit at the museum I was curious about," she says finally. "It focuses on rare flowers from around the world, so... all things told, I imagine you'd probably be interested in that as well..."

She has paid attention to that much. See?

"...I'm not exactly much of a conversationalist though, Tsubomi."

Tsubomi just beamed in response to that.

"That's okay!" she exclaimed. "I'm perfectly happy to just spend time with you... and wow, really? That sounds like a great exhibit!"

She reaches out for Yuri's hand.

"How much is admission? I can pay my own way!"

Ah. Just when Yuri had regained her cool, collected demeanor, Tsubomi is squealing and grabbing her hand. Just to spend time with her? Yuri tries and fails to question that, recalling that this girl had spent months putting up with Yuri being cold and closed off, practically shunning her attempts to get through after Cologne's death. Stubbornly, she tries to retain a harder expression, but in light of those thoughts it softens without actually making an attempt to do so.

"It... shouldn't be terribly much, really. I simply figured, if you were going to insist-" On dragging her off. "-it should be something we'd both be interested in, yes?"

She brushes her dark hair back with her free hand, and nods. "...I suppose it can't hurt, in the end."

Tsubomi was grinning ear to ear. "Of course!" she said. "And don't worry about talking about anything... that kind of thing, you go to just to appreciate the beauty!"

A thought, and Tsubomi was back to looking nervous again. "And um... maybe... maybe we could get something to eat afterwards? If that's not insisting on too much, that is..."

As Yuri pulls the door shut behind her, she blinks a little, eyeing Tsubomi curiously. She had t eaten anything for lunch, so... "I suppose I don't see the harm in that, just-"

She begins to walk, falling quiet as she does so. "Why this, all of a sudden?"

Tsubomi falls in step beside her, smiling from ear to ear. Getting to see an exhibit and have lunch... this was too good to be true!

And then that question.

"... eh? What do you mean? Asking you to go out, you mean?" she replied, a notable shake in her voice.

Yuri's longer stride keeps her ahead, albeit only a bit, enough that she's not making eye contact as she catches the shake in Tsubomi's voice. She keeps herself impassive all the same, and nods a little.

"Yes, it has been quite awhile since you first met Chypre..."

She trails off, and more or less leaves it there, avoiding the want to ask, 'Why now?' She chides herself somewhat at letting her paranoia dictate her questions. Tsubomi was not the person she needed to be interrogating for any reason, but... She's nonetheless curious.

"... well... we've known each other for a while, Yuri, and... we've never really hung out..."

She frowned, and looked to the side, unfortunately falling in step a bit behind Yuri.

"You were sort of my first friend... it seemed like the thing to do...."

As she looks away, Tsubomi might miss as Yuri's lips quirk into the lightest of smiles. Not exactly something many people are used to seeing of her in the past half a year.

"...I suppose we haven't, have we..."

It's just sort of an obvious statement that just hangs there. Tsubomi is her friend. One she hadn't treated well enough in the past, in spite of her selfless efforts, and one who meant enough to put her life back on the line and become Cure Moonlight again...

"...I apologize for that, Tsubomi."

"You don't need to apologize," Tsubomi said, quietly. "I... I was too nervous sometimes, you know. It's really on both of us..."

She reached for Yuri's hand, doing her best to smile.

"But we can change that now, right?"

Yuri feels her face heating up just the slightest bit as Tsubomi takes her hand again, but this time it's a bit different than just trying to drag her out of her house. She takes a small comfort in the gesture, and gives it a small, but noticeable enough squeeze back.

"Change isn't always easy, but... Realizing my own mistakes, seeing what they caused... I owe it to try, to you especially."

As well as Cologne, but... that wasn't even necessary to state, was it?

"... you don't... you don't need to do it because you owe it to me," Tsubomi replied, returning Yuri's squeeze of her hand with one of her own. "I'm just happy we're both finally reaching out..."

She smiled up at Yuri, moving a bit closer to her.

"You made me feel like I've really changed, Yuri. That's more than enough to make it up to me...!"

All of that - the squeeze, her words - make Yuri stop, feeling an inexplicable tightening in her chest. The Tsubomi she first met was... not the same one she's seeing right now, was she? Was Yuri really responsible for that to any degree?

"Tsubomi, I..."

She sighs.

"I never gave you enough credit before... everything happened. Had I done so, it might not have ended that way. At the same time, had you not kept trying afterwards, I'd be... much worse off, now."

Tsubomi felt her heart swell. To hear words like that, coming from Yuri... it really made her feel good about herself. Which was something Tsubomi struggled with a great deal.

But more importantly, it made her feel like they both trusted her.

"Like I've been saying," Tsubomi replied. "The same goes for me too... that's why I'm glad we got to know each other...!"

Yuri gazes at her for a moment, and then gives something of a relieved sigh. She begins to walk again, now pulling Tsubomi along with her. She does trust Tsubomi, and that's something which took her far too long to realize. It feels almost strange to realize that trust is there, but it is all the same. It makes her feel just a bit lighter, as if all the weight is not simply on her back alone.

"Then, I suppose the feeling is mutual all around," she says quietly, and then looks ahead. "Come on, Tsubomi. Let's get going, shall we?"

Tsubomi nodded eagerly, and ended up hugging Yuri's arm. "Mmhm!" she said, looking absolutely elated. "Let's go...! I'm really looking forward to this! Maybe I'll learn something new...!"
