102 Percent: Omega Spire PAR-TAY (Backdated to the weekend, after defeating the Baron)

"OH YEAHH guys and gals! We've kicked Dino butt, we've kicked Slade butt, and now, the Omega Spire is open and I'm ready to party like it's 2099! We got all the free pizza you can eat, and I installed a soda fountain with 42 varieties of flavor! We've got the dance floor, we've got the tunes, AND (for those of you who don't like to dance) we've got a Smash Cousins tournament on a 20-foot Ultra HD screen! (I call dibs on Burro Kong.) Oh, and bring a swim suit if you want, because the pool here is kickin'!

All the teen heroes better be here, ya hear me? And bring a friend. Doors open at 5pm.

Oh, and ya villains can stay at home."

((Note: Word gets around, so there's no reason non-supers couldn't hear about this party and crash it. As long as they don't cause trouble, Cyborg isn't throwing anyone out of the party for not being super enough.))

AT THE PARTY (ACTION):
((NOTE: These are not all threads with Cyborg. The assumption is that if you post at one of these locations, someone else at the party will reply. Also, feel free to request other spots.))

[B. On the ferry or train over to Venture Island.]
The Omega Spire is on an island, so most people are getting there one of two ways. Omegafriends can use the underground train, which drops off at depot in the Spire's basement. Anyone can take the ferry, which heads out to the island every hour on the hour. Both provide opportunities to befriend fellow party goers before actually getting in the door.

[C. Buffet]
In the main dining area, a big buffet table and some picnic tables have been set up. The buffet has lots and lots of pizza of different varieties, as well as chips, fruit, meatballs, punch, cookies, and other yummy foods. There is also a soda fountain with practically ever flavor you could want.

[D. Dance Floor]
A huge dance floor has been set up, big enough to accommodate a few hundred people at a time. Cyborg's wired up lasers and strobe lights, and a top-of the line audio system that is playing music a bit too loud. The DJ will play different types of music, from slow-dances to more upbeat stuff, and takes requests. (There is also a row of chairs to the side of the dance floor, for the wallflowers.)

[E. Rec Room - Videogames, ping pong, etc.]
The main attraction in the Rec Room right now is the HUGE monitor that has been set up for a Smash Cousins tournament. Since that game only supports four players a time, there are other games set up for those who don't want to wait: old arcade boxes, ping pong tables, pool tables, and there's even a chess set in the corner, and another table by a cabinet full of different board games and card games.

[F. Pool Area]
On the roof of the Spire is an enormous swimming pool, about the size and shape of two Olympic-sized pools put together to form a big "T". The water temperature is computer-monitored to hover around 89 degrees Fahrenheit, and the area is well-lit after the sun goes down by lampposts and underwater lights. The area also boasts two hot tubs - each capable of seating ten people - and two large clean changing rooms (one for each gender) with lockers and showers.

[G. Quiet Room.]
A lot of the Spire has been locked-up as off-limits tonight, for security reasons. Only the main party rooms are open for the most part, but Cyborg has set up one small open lounge to escape the noise of the party. The room is insulated and mostly sound-proof, has some nice comfy couches, and an espresso machine. This is a good place to take a break, have conversations that don't require yelling over loud music, etc.

[H. The Coat Closet.]
Near the entrance, there is a large walk-in closet for people to stow stuff they don't want to carry around all night. Unfortunately, the door lock is a bit wonky, and sometimes it just won't open from the inside (Cyborg is working on that.) But as long as no one shuts the door while someone is inside, there shouldn't be a problem, right?

No wall flower here. Parley's shakin' it, in her Mystery Lass outfit, and feeling perfectly at ease.

Parley just wrecked three other random party-goers at Ping-Pong in a row, and was now doing a little victory dance at her end of the table.

"Ha ha! I am invincible! All hail the Ping Ping Queen!"

It was probably time for someone to take her down a peg.

Slam! Parley turned to open the door, only to find it stuck. "Hey! The door's stuck! Someone open up, it's too fun out to spend today stuck in a closet!"

Turning his head to watch the ping pong ball go back and forth, he resists the urge to jump on the table to get the ball. Not an easy impulse to fight either, as he now suddenly bares the appearance of those synchronized head tilting kittens on the internet.

Once George knocks it behind her opponent, however, he launches himself towards it to catch it.

He returns with the ball in his teeth, seemingly having no shame in the fact that he's playing fetch.

She took the ball gingerly. The wet ball.

"Er...thanks."

"No problem." He says, though picking up on the fact that he just made her uncomfortable. There wasn't much he could do about it.

"I wish I could play games like that."

[distorts_space]

"Oh yeah, I guess you can't hold a paddle without thumbs."

[stalksindarkness]

"I can hit the ball maybe." But well enough to actually challenge her? Maybe not. She is the 'best', right?

"Y'wanna try?"

If nothing else, it should be interesting to see a talking lion try to stand at a ping pong table.

Hark! Is that a cry of distress?! ...Um. That's not what you really expected to hear at a party like this.

"Hello? Who's in there? Did you say you're stuck?" she calls out.

Oh good someone heard. "The bloody door's stuck! Can you get it open from out there?"

"I can try! Lemme see!"

She jimmies the handle a bit, but the door seems to be stuck fast. "No good! It's still kinda stuck!" she replies.

"Well this is great."

Slump. "Go find Cyborg. It's his place. If nothing else he can punch the door down."

"No no, hang on! I think I can... if I'm careful..."

She very lightly taps the Miracle Mallet on the doorknob -- which shrinks and falls out of the door. "Hah! I did it!" she exclaims cheerfully.

Huh.

"Huh."

Parley pushed the door open to see her savior.

Huh, who's the blond? She's been watching for a bit, but now she's stepping up to take a paddle.

"Do go easy on me. It is my first time playing."

[distorts_space]

"No room for sentiment in th' field of honor!"

But she did go a bit easy on Rozalin. She figures she'll toy with her prey a bit before destroying her utterly.

Rozalin does start out a bit shakey, not quite aware of where the paddle is. The first two points, they go exactly as Parley might expect.

And then Rozalin scores a point with a rather smug little smirk

"Oh it's ON now."

Parley went for cutthroat ping pong after that. She didn't like that smug little smirk at ALL.

Normally, this kind of cutthroat take no prisoners play would probably earn Parley win after win.

But after a couple of games, it becomes clear that Rozalin is hanging in there, and even starting to add some flourish to her serves and returns.

As the game went on it became clear that Parley, on the other hand, was not some genius ping pong player. She had gotten a lucky streak, but this matchup was actually pretty much a dead heat.

After her next party goer left, a masked guy in Green appeared to be wobbling at the other end. Sergeant Guy had finally found Parley and even clearly had the best thing to duel her out.

"I challenge you to a duel of Ping Pong!" He said, pointing his racket at her.

Well weird people in masks are HARDLY out of place right now. Parley brandished her paddle like a sword, "Bring it on! Don'tcha cry too hard when I whup your butt."

Sergeant Guy said something below him, the Shy Guy helping him up stabilizing him more. Then he pulled out the ball before knocking it over on the first hit quite hard!

Parley almost beaned herself in the face in the process, but she managed to hit it back.

Still there was something weird about this guy...Even for a super hero party.

He was a pretty quick with the paddle, snapping it back quick. "I'll get you for making fun of me!"

Getting into the groove, Parley hit it back and forth with alternating backhands and forwards shots.
