102 Percent: Omega Spire PAR-TAY (Backdated to the weekend, after defeating the Baron)

"OH YEAHH guys and gals! We've kicked Dino butt, we've kicked Slade butt, and now, the Omega Spire is open and I'm ready to party like it's 2099! We got all the free pizza you can eat, and I installed a soda fountain with 42 varieties of flavor! We've got the dance floor, we've got the tunes, AND (for those of you who don't like to dance) we've got a Smash Cousins tournament on a 20-foot Ultra HD screen! (I call dibs on Burro Kong.) Oh, and bring a swim suit if you want, because the pool here is kickin'!

All the teen heroes better be here, ya hear me? And bring a friend. Doors open at 5pm.

Oh, and ya villains can stay at home."

((Note: Word gets around, so there's no reason non-supers couldn't hear about this party and crash it. As long as they don't cause trouble, Cyborg isn't throwing anyone out of the party for not being super enough.))

AT THE PARTY (ACTION):
((NOTE: These are not all threads with Cyborg. The assumption is that if you post at one of these locations, someone else at the party will reply. Also, feel free to request other spots.))

[B. On the ferry or train over to Venture Island.]
The Omega Spire is on an island, so most people are getting there one of two ways. Omegafriends can use the underground train, which drops off at depot in the Spire's basement. Anyone can take the ferry, which heads out to the island every hour on the hour. Both provide opportunities to befriend fellow party goers before actually getting in the door.

[C. Buffet]
In the main dining area, a big buffet table and some picnic tables have been set up. The buffet has lots and lots of pizza of different varieties, as well as chips, fruit, meatballs, punch, cookies, and other yummy foods. There is also a soda fountain with practically ever flavor you could want.

[D. Dance Floor]
A huge dance floor has been set up, big enough to accommodate a few hundred people at a time. Cyborg's wired up lasers and strobe lights, and a top-of the line audio system that is playing music a bit too loud. The DJ will play different types of music, from slow-dances to more upbeat stuff, and takes requests. (There is also a row of chairs to the side of the dance floor, for the wallflowers.)

[E. Rec Room - Videogames, ping pong, etc.]
The main attraction in the Rec Room right now is the HUGE monitor that has been set up for a Smash Cousins tournament. Since that game only supports four players a time, there are other games set up for those who don't want to wait: old arcade boxes, ping pong tables, pool tables, and there's even a chess set in the corner, and another table by a cabinet full of different board games and card games.

[F. Pool Area]
On the roof of the Spire is an enormous swimming pool, about the size and shape of two Olympic-sized pools put together to form a big "T". The water temperature is computer-monitored to hover around 89 degrees Fahrenheit, and the area is well-lit after the sun goes down by lampposts and underwater lights. The area also boasts two hot tubs - each capable of seating ten people - and two large clean changing rooms (one for each gender) with lockers and showers.

[G. Quiet Room.]
A lot of the Spire has been locked-up as off-limits tonight, for security reasons. Only the main party rooms are open for the most part, but Cyborg has set up one small open lounge to escape the noise of the party. The room is insulated and mostly sound-proof, has some nice comfy couches, and an espresso machine. This is a good place to take a break, have conversations that don't require yelling over loud music, etc.

[H. The Coat Closet.]
Near the entrance, there is a large walk-in closet for people to stow stuff they don't want to carry around all night. Unfortunately, the door lock is a bit wonky, and sometimes it just won't open from the inside (Cyborg is working on that.) But as long as no one shuts the door while someone is inside, there shouldn't be a problem, right?

Ben was among the people who'd seen the post up on Rumblr for the party. Well, technically he counted as a super (the watch wasn't coming off any time soon after all), so it wouldn't be a bad idea to drop by. Hopefully there wasn't a power demonstration requirement.

He rode the ferry over, whistling as the Spire came into view. "Nice."

Free food. Two of Ben's favorite words put together. And, boy, could this guy chow down. Not just regular teenage boy hunger either. He wondered if it was because of all the transformations he kept doing. That probably messed his metabolism up.

Still, be amazed as this scrawny guy downs his fourth or fifth piece of supreme pizza, munching away happily with no sign of slowing down.

Smash Cousins? Ugh. Give Ben Sumo Slammers IV: Tournament Edition any day. Oh well. He could watch at least. Maybe even get a chance to play with someone who wasn't a random online opponent for once.

Of course, he could be lured away from the video games for ping pong or something, too.

Ben flopped down on one of the comfy couches, tilting his head back to stare up at the ceiling. Man, it'd been a while since he'd been at such a busy party. The birthday parties he'd had to share with his cousin Gwen had always full of her friends until he finally just let her have the entire party to herself. It wasn't like he had any friends to invite after his weird falling out with Kevin. (He still didn't know what he'd done wrong even after five years...) Being off to one side in your own party was no fun, so he'd decided not to attend anymore.

It was nice, though, to hang around people and feel like part of the group. However, it seemed being by himself for so long meant he needed a break from it all from time-to-time.

Look who's snoozing on the couch? Or at least he was before the other boy flopped onto the same couch. The young lion lifts his head up, blinking against the light only to see someone he'd met a few weeks back. Ben! Suddenly he's alert, or he's trying to be. A big yawn before he can really focus on him.

"I didn't know you were a superhero." He at the tail end of the yawn.

Landing on something large and furry made Ben yelp and roll right off it. He crashed onto the floor, wincing in pain.

He looked up to see the lion there. Shade? No, Shadow!

"I, uh, not totally. I mean, I saw the open post on Rumblr, so I kinda...sorta...crashed the party."

He wasn't totally lying but he could feel his left eye threatening to twitch.

Not very graceful there, Ben. He's not really hurt himself, but he does have to reposition himself to be comfortable. He's not getting up either. Thankfully he only takes up about one cushion. His tail takes up another.

"Oh. Don't think anybody will mind." He yawns and looks the kid over, seemingly accepting Ben on his word, eyes still lolled into a sleepy gaze. Cats. The sleeping marathon champions of the world.

Just watch your lies, Ben. If you start getting stressed out about it he'll actually pick up on it. Stress stinks!

What are you talking about? Ben is the king of grace. Always poised and in control. (And if you believe that load of crock, he has a bridge in Brooklyn you might be interested in.)

Ben relaxed a little. "Good thing. Last thing I wanna do is make a bunch of supers mad."

Yeah, and Shadow here is the duke of tact and finesse.

"Only thing I would worry about is badguys finding out you're friends with all of us." He gets up and rolls onto his stomach, reaching for the comic book he was reading. Pumaman.

"See? The badguy 'Hunter Seige' just kidnapped all of Puma's friends as bait. It's like, the most predictable badguy thing ever." And considering how Slade did it just a few weeks ago...

"Living in this place for so long? Kinda gotten used to the idea of being on the lookout for potential bad guy threats," Ben said, leaning back against the sofa. "I'll be okay. Trust me."

"Good to know you have some decent instincts. More than some people!" And sometimes, probably, more than him.

"Remember how we were talking about B-movies and watching them? Now that we have this place, we can probably do it without any worry about parents."

Hm. Wonder if they'll let him live here?

Well, Ben did have the watch to fall back on if worse came to worst. However, he wasn't quite comfortable handing out that information just yet, even to a fellow super.

"Yeah, if I'd known you were gonna be here, I would've hooked us up with some good ones. Like I've got a Nazi zombie movie which is super hilarious."

"Nazi zombies?" He huffs, seemingly amused with that arrangement.

"I heard a story about some superheroes back home who got stuck in another dimension filled with nazi vampires and werewolves." But that might be just a story someone made up.

"What's it about? Is'sit anything like Surf Nazi's must die?"

"Dunno. I've never seen Surf Nazis Must Die. I feel kinda like I'm missing out now," Ben said with a grin.

"Obviously something we gotta watch as long as we're talking nazi zombie busting." Was it hilarious? Oh yes.

And how is it that they both knew so much about supernatural nazi movies? Weird.

"Totally. I wonder if these guys have a copy of it. Probably not."

Because B movies are amazing. That's why.

"What about Netfilms?" Was that not the thing everyone used now? And it had everything?

Arcing his back as he stretched, his claws unsheathing and his mouth opening wide before flopping onto his butt and laying back against the corner of the couch. Absolute contentment.

"I wouldn't be able to stay up through the entire movie anyway." Heh heh. Cat metabolism had it's drawbacks.

"Netfilms you need a subscription for, and I don't have one," Ben admitted. "Plus I'm not sure supernatural Nazis is a genre they carry."

He looked at Shadow before smacking his palm to his forehead. "Aw, jeez, I woke you up from your nap, didn't I? Sorry."

Cyborg lets out a resounding "BOOYAH" as he defeats yet another opponent at Smash, then waves the controller of his defeated opponent in the air.

"Alright, which one of ya'll wants to lose next?"

"If you're the one looking to lose, fine by me!" Ben called back, popping the last of his collection of chips in his mouth. Wiping the salt and grease off on his jeans, he strode confidently over.

"Big talk, little man. Show me what you got."

Cy hands Ben the controller to make his choice on the character screen.

"You're gonna regret that."

Ben took the controller and started scrolling past all the big, buff characters people had used against Cyborg before. Instead, he selected Emir who had more speed though he...she...it dealt less damage. Ben could harry Burro Kong with the superior speed and agility. To be honest, it'd be a lot like fighting as XLR8.

"Ready?"

Predictably, Cyborg sticks with Burro Kong. He liked BK because he was the fastest of the heavyweight options, and could take quite a bit of punishment (not unlike Cyborg). For stage select, Cy sets the game to random, and it selects Shadow Noah Island.

"Oh yeah. I love the Iron Gear stage!"

((OOC: You wanna have them each win a round and then Cyborg wins the last round by a hair in a best two-out-of-three match? Or do you have something in mind? :3))

"Get ready to start hating it then," Ben said with a confident grin.

He leaned forward, hunched over the controller, in preparation for the battle start.

The match starts, and BK immediately dashes to Emir, headbutts him into the ground with his side special, and then follows up with a fully-charged Giant Punch while his opponent can't move, knocking him off the stage.

"BOOYAH! One down, two to go, dude. At least try to put up a fight."

"Dude, look again," Ben said with a grin.

Emir dropped down from the sky as he was re-spawned, and Ben triggered a downward kick at BK. Upon landing, he then performed a pair of Strong Forwards before leaping backwards, to move out of range.

BK skids off the side of level, and Cyborg grimaces.

"Oh, it's ON now!"

"It's been on!"

As soon as BK respawned, Ben had Emir jump up to perform a kick at BK. Close range was Emir's strong point, and Ben wanted to make sure he used every opportunity to get in close.
