When the feed starts up, it shows only an extreme closeup of someone's eyeball, accompanied by the booming voice of someone with their mouth far too close to the microphone.

"Uhhh...is this thing working?"

There's a slight pause as whoever is behind the camera waits for an answer. Eventually, something occurs to her and she pulls back out of the view, revealing a young girl wearing metal armor and a mask.

"Heyo! I'm Princess Pegasus, new Omegafriend! Today's my first day, so I thought I'd introduce myself!"

STRIKING A COOL POSE (it's not actually all that cool, it's more like what a fifteen year old girl would think is cool)

"...are you an independent hero?"

Wait, does she sound...disappointed?

He nods. Why is she disappointed?

"That's right. I work on my own."

[pega_pony_princess]

"...aww, and I was really looking forward to busting up an underground stolen goods market."

Princess Pegasus pouts briefly before brightening up.

"Okay, just remember - if you find an underground black market, you owe me a team-up!"

"I don't do team-ups." He just...kind of poked at the watch they'd given him sometimes, and then he got into conversations he didn't want to have.

[pega_pony_princess]

"Well that's dumb. Heroes are always stronger when they work in teams!"

Tellin' it like it is.

[anachronisticbilliards]

"Some of us do better outside of teams. Fewer people in the way then." Nope, he's a lone wolf, and that's that. So stubborn.

[pega_pony_princess]

She just...stares, nonplussed.

"...the bad guys you fight aim for the head, don't they."

[anachronisticbilliards]

"Not any moreso than any other part of the body." He doesn't get it.

[pega_pony_princess]

Oh you sweet summer child.

"Well, don't worry about it! I have enough teamworkgirlship for the BOTH of us!"

...please don't make up words, Cynthia.

Just...what.

"...I'll bet you do."

How is he supposed to deal with this? HOW?

[pega_pony_princess]

"So, obviously, we need to team up and let some of it rub off on you! Just, uh...just the 'teamwork' part, though, since I'm prrretty sure you wouldn't want to be a girl. Maybe you could end up with teamworksmanship instead?"

It'd be a lie to say this conversation is out of control, because that would imply it was ever controlled in the first place.

But Shirogane would prefer it if the conversation were under control, because that would mean he knew what was going on! "I don't need that rubbing off, thanks."

That is probably the most insincere "thanks" he's ever mustered.

Princess Pegasus doesn't notice at all, of course.

"Of course you do! Whoever heard of a hero that didn't have EXCITING TEAMUPS?"

"I have. Right here, right now. Because I have heard of myself." Maybe if he keeps insisting, she'll finally get the message!

[pega_pony_princess]

"You might have heard of yourself, but you're obviously not hearing yourself!"

Slight pause to fist-pump.

"Ooo, that one's a keeper!"

There are no words at this. Just a facepalm, and an exasperated sigh.
