When the feed starts up, it shows only an extreme closeup of someone's eyeball, accompanied by the booming voice of someone with their mouth far too close to the microphone.

"Uhhh...is this thing working?"

There's a slight pause as whoever is behind the camera waits for an answer. Eventually, something occurs to her and she pulls back out of the view, revealing a young girl wearing metal armor and a mask.

"Heyo! I'm Princess Pegasus, new Omegafriend! Today's my first day, so I thought I'd introduce myself!"

STRIKING A COOL POSE (it's not actually all that cool, it's more like what a fifteen year old girl would think is cool)

Princess Pegasus? Interesting name. What made you decide to chose that rather than "Pegasus Knight" or something else?

[ Yeah, he'll focus on that rather than the whole 'you're obviously not from Earth or the modern day' thing. Besides, who knew what information could potentially be useful. ]

The eyeholes of her mask are opaque, so it can't actually be seen when she blinks. You'll just have to take the narration's word for it.

"Well, for one, 'Pegasus Knight' is a job, not a hero name! And for two, I am a princess!"

And since the narration is in prose, it will be switched here too. But yes, we are totally trusting the strange narration.

"Oh. Well, I guess that explains a lot. I do hope you weren't trying to keep the whole 'you're not from this world thing' a secret though. Between saying that Pegasus Knight is a job and that you're a princess, you pretty much told that to everyone.

"So, do you have a Pegasus stashed in a stall somewhere, or is that part of the name just for show?"

COOL POSE POWERS ACTIVATE

"BEHOLD!"

And suddenly, HORSE. The view is filled with horse.

"I can summon my noble steed using MAGIC."

Oh wow that was how the heck did she...?

It doesn't take Alvin too long to regain his composure though, and he ends up laughing after a few moments. "That's pretty amazing. And it has to be more useful than having to wait for it to come to where you are if you need it for something."

Note to self, figure out how that was supposed to work, if possible.

"Isn't it?!"

And poof, the horse vanishes, leaving behind a few brown feathers. COOL POSE POWERS ACTIVATE!

Sadly, they do not activate, and rather than stick the landing and look cool, she falls right on her face.

Okay. Clearly this kid really needed a lot of work. "Hey, you alright there Princess?"

He'll just leave it up to someone else to actually mention the 'needing to learn how to pose' thing.

Pushing herself back up to her feet.

"Yeah, I'm fine! This happens a lot, haha!"

"So this basically happens all the time for you? Don't you think you should try to practice posing some more before you go ahead and pose like that for people to see?"

[Lineface. So much lineface. And he's just going to...fumble with this communicator thing they gave him even though he refused to join the team proper, and why won't it shut off, what is he even doing, stupid technology, maybe she won't spot him before he can get away...]

Despite her...everything, she's quick to notice things. Like some dude on the Omegawatch.

"Are you an Omegafriend too?"

There's a long sigh as he is forced to admit to himself that his attempts to shut this darn thing off have failed.

"No. I'm not."

...hmmm.

"Did you buy that watch on the black market? Was your burning desire to talk to us AMAZING HEROES so strong it lead you to break the law??"

Off and running with this theory.

"DON'T WORRY, CITIZEN! As an ALLY OF JUSTICE, I'd never turn you in to the authorities over something like this! I know all too well the lengths normal people will go to in order to meet a REAL HERO. BUT!"

COOL POSE POWERS ACTIVATE

"Iiiii'm gonna have to insist you sell out the HEINOUS CRIMINAL that sold you your ILLEGAL OMEGAWATCH. Just because you're an innocent patsy doesn't mean I can overlook SHADY PROFITEERS, after all!"

This earns Cynthia a very long stare. Shirogane is silent throughout this entire bit of "logic," though he can't help but twitch a little as she speaks.

"You know," he says once he's managed to find words again after bearing witness to this logic train chugging along, "they do give these things out to the independent heroes in town." There. That's as good as going out and saying it, right?

Pause.

"...are you an independent hero?"

Wait, does she sound...disappointed?

He nods. Why is she disappointed?

"That's right. I work on my own."

[pega_pony_princess]

"...aww, and I was really looking forward to busting up an underground stolen goods market."

Princess Pegasus pouts briefly before brightening up.

"Okay, just remember - if you find an underground black market, you owe me a team-up!"

Joachim is always happy to meet a new ally of justice! ...And lets face it his sense of cool is not all that far off from the sense of cool of a fifteen year old girl. He starts off his reply with a completely ridiculous twirl super awesome spin and POSE!

"You've got spirit, Princess Pegasus! I, GRAND PAPILLON, am glad to welcome you to the team!"

Princess Pegasus just...stares for a long moment.

Then the squealing starts.

"Oh wow, that was an awesome pose!"

Modesty has never been Grand Papillon's forte. He just soaks up flattery like a sponge. A huge grinning sponge.

"Of course it is! I've had years to perfect it!"

Welp, only one thing to say to that.

"Teach me how to do that."

"It's all in the hips! ...Well, mostly in the hips! That big arm gesture wasn't just to look cool, it's also a way to keep your balance!"

He does it again, but slower. Well. Sort of slower? Momentum is also an important part of looking cool while not falling over.

"Now you give it a try!"

The resulting spin-and-pose...almost works. She manages to avoid falling over, at least, but there was a little too much put into the spin, sending her crashing face-first into the wall behind her.

"Ow!"

Joachim winces in sympathy. That looked like it hurt. Good attitude, though! Plenty of HEROIC VIM AND VIGOR and this is to be soundly encouraged!

"Almost had it, but you'd better not try that one on a roof just yet!"

"Hahaha, yeah! Ouch, that'd be a bad idea!"

She doesn't seem all that upset.
