[The feed reveals an older looking gentleman with blue skin and white hair. His clothes are shabby and he’s wearing a large travelling backpack. If you listen, you can hear the sound of the occasional car passing by. Looks like he’s somewhere on the outskirts of the city.]

Ah, good, it’s working! Hello, I’m.. mm, well, I’ll get to that in a second.

I’m not an Omega Friend, first of all. I’m sort of on a.. “trial period”, I guess you could say... I don’t actually have full control of my powers yet. But that’s why I came here! I’m going to be studying and practicing magic, and I have a better chance learning here than anywhere else! I’m hoping that one day I can join you all in making this city- and the world- a safer place!

Until then... I’m going to be doing the best I can. My name is Simon, but most people know of me as the Ice King.

[He's got a collection of the news clippings and video footage of himself. He knows he's got some slight infamy as a villain.]

I’d prefer not to get into the details right now, but my powers tend to make me lose control of myself.. I believe that it can be harnessed, somehow, but I'll try to keep out of everyone's way until I can get the hang of it. I apologize in advance if I ever do or say anything out of line before that.

Ah, um... genetics, technically. Not that I really do much of that...

[ This is where some people ask the question of what a geneticist is doing posing as a psychologist who, at night, runs around pretending to be a nurse who shoots people up with tranquilizers. It's a very uncomfortable question, and he'd rather avoid it. ]

My primary area of study, however, is the human mind.

Oh! That's, that's very interesting... Yooou wouldn't happen to have done any studies on either mutations or mental expansion, would you?

Ah... for the most part, yes? I have not done much work with altered states of consciousness, and most of the books I can think of offhand aren't available on this planet for some reason.

[ What, were you expecting all of the best books on human psychology to have been written by humans? Pshhhhh. ]

Ah, but mutations - definitely that one. In fact, some of my early work--

... had a lot to do with that. Specifically ones that affected the structure and function of the central nervous system.

Really? Well, that's sort of what I'm looking for! The catalyst that grants me my powers has also been steadily mutating me, and I'm wondering if there's any way to reverse something like that?

... Yes, with certain qualifications. One would need access to some very advanced equipment as well as... ah, preferably a sample of your DNA from before the mutations began. The latter can be, ah, fudged somewhat, depending on a lot of things.

Well, I might have something! I've got loads of old keepsakes, I bet I can scrabble something together!

I think we can use the equipment I have on hand, but it might be a slow process.

Ah... I suppose the first step would be meeting in person, whenever would be a good time for that. I'm at the old medical labs, just east of town... kind of in a swamp...
