I swear you have the worst timing for a watch.

[Ben points accusingly at the green-and-black watch on his wrist whose face is currently red. As much as he'd like to help with the search for the transmitter Dr. Devious announced, right now getting a handle on his new alien powers ranks a little higher. He's not going to be very effective if he can't control his transformations.]

[Too bad the stupid alien watch likes trolling him.]

[So here he is on the roof of a building, the rooftop access door locked, and he's waiting for the watch to recharge to see if it'll be kind enough to give him something that can fly off of this thing.]

[With nothing to do but wait, he sits on the parapet, chin in his hand and thoroughly annoyed with the world.]

Well, you wanna get down, don't you? How am I supposed to do that without carrying you?

...Okay, that's a good point, but are you sure you can carry me? Getting dropped from the top of the building doesn't sound like a good plan.

[Though the watch just chirps as its face goes from red to green. At least he can try to change into something that flies, right?]

Yeah, I'm sure!

... probably, anyway. As long as you stay still! And it's not that hard to give someone a piggy back ride, anyway.

Just don't drop me, okay?

[He moves up behind her and wraps his arms around her neck. Don't think about it don't think about it...]

[ she's kidding

Hold on tight, okay?

[ Shooter backs up from the edge of the roof, just for a second and then makes a running start before leaping. They go flying through the air, a disquieting distance from the roof and plummet perhaps a little too fast--

-- but even though she lands with a lot of staggering and wavering from side to side, she makes good on her word and doesn't drop him. ]

Wait! Whoa!

[He holds on tightly, yelling as they fell. To activate the watch or--]

Oof! [The sudden landing knocks the wind out of him. Wow, is this how most citizens feel when he rescues them like that?]

[starsburn]

[ now that they're both down in... relative safety, Shooter finally drops to her knees, letting go of him with a weak grin on her face. She laughs but it's... kind of a nervous laugh. ]

Ah-- ahahaha! See? Told you I wouldn't drop you!

[omnitrixter]

[He lets go of her.]

Yeah, thanks. You sure you're okay though? You landed kinda rough...

[starsburn]

Yep! I'm pretty used to it by now!

[ she says this with a big confident grin as she stands up, despite that being... not exactly something she should be confident about. ]
