A - [Omeganet]
[Kresnik appears on the screen, letting out a long breath before speaking]
Okay, since Wild Tiger and Grand Papillion already know - might as well tell everyone to avoid any further confusion. I'm Kresnik, and the cloak I'm wearing, and the Night Stone I carried used to belong to The Night King, I'm a distant relation to him, but I have zero intentions of carrying on his legacy.
Got it?
All right, now that we got that out of the way, is there anything I can do to help?
B - [Mall, Action]
[Soma always did stand out as a civilian, it's summer but he's wearing a very light-weight long-sleeved shirt, and smelling faintly of coconut due prescription-strength sunscreen. He's going from various stores - stopping at a record shop that was going out of business. The place was getting picked over by bargain hunters - one of whom shoved Soma aside, knocking him over and scattering his bags]
Hey-! Watch it!

So he turned tail and bolted.

The Spy Guy had gone back to trying to hide in fake plants while everyone else watched him do that.
A
[ Ruckus is somewhat of an understatement there, buddy. Papillion's looking more sheepish than bat-like at present. ]
How's your shoulder holding up?
Re: A
It's okay - nothing pulled out of joint or broken, the tricky part was concocting a believable story for my parents.

You mean they don't know about the whole Kresnik thing?
no subject
Well... no, they wouldn't allow it if they knew.
no subject
Ahh, they'd be the more, er, traditional sort of vampire, would they? There's a couple of those on my side of the family too.
no subject
What? No. They're not vampires either! We're humans!
Though... I suppose we might have some... vampire blood if the Night King is our ancestor.
[Now he wonders if they'red related on his mother's or his father's side]

[ Just how much of the kid is human, anyway? If both of his parents are... ]
...One of them could be half, maybe. Or maybe one of your grandparents... How many greats did you say were in that great-great something grandpa?

[He pauses, considering the question, arms folding across his chest]
I lost track, but it's at least four?

[ Papillon knowing all of this would be more impressive if he weren't hastily looking it up on the internet right this second. ]
...However many times, it's too much of a mouthful. Cousins it is!
no subject
Cousins - never expect to have relatives coming out of the woodwork.

[ ...Probably. Man, it's been ages since he's been in touch with them, for all he knows they've all hopped out of the crypts and turned the castle into the world's spookiest B&B. ]
no subject
Huh... huh.
[And honestly, what can you say to that comment?]

[ It's only cramped if you're built like a brick outhouse, dude. ]
B
I think you dropped this.
Re: B
Thanks. I didn't expect to see so many vultures here.
Re: B
[Augustus continues to smile.] You okay?
Re: B
[He's glad he didn't get nailed in the shoulder - that could've been painful]
It's kind of sad, most of them don't care that most of the employees are going to be out of their jobs.
Re: B
[It always seems true to Augustus. You can't walk a few blocks in this city without seeing a help wanted sign.]
The big picture is lost on most people.
