[Venture City's Public library had a healthy section on magic. The problem that Soma quickly found out was separating the valid works from self-important trash like Argent Rookcoyote. The young man had a nearby table stacked with books - one pile was to be put back when he's done searching, and a smaller stack for check out, but he has almost an entire row of books emptied in his search, including books someone else might want to look at.

He knows he has latent magic, it's about time he tries to train himself with it. The young man traced the Star of Solomon on the old book he's currently holding, reading the faded letters out loud]
