omegafriends | Episode 4: Blast from the Past! Venture City Invasion!

On a sunny Saturday morning, it's finally visible - high above Venture City, the descending asteroid. However, it's doing something no real asteroid would do - it's slowing down.

As the space rock comes to a halt, looking like a second moon over the city, several holographic screens emerge from it, all showing the same face.

"Greetings, Earth mammals! A new order is at hand!"

"Sixty six million years ago, a meteor fell, ending the age of my people on this planet. However, not all of us were lost! Thanks to mysterious alien technology found by my ancestors, we were able to escape from Earth before the disaster heralded the rise of your pitiful kind. At long last, with the help of the human Devious, we have found the lost homeworld once more! And so we strike against those that replaced us - we, the true masters of Earth, have returned! And I, Baron Von Tyrannosaur, shall be your new ruler!"

With that, smaller pods start to break off from the dinosaur mothership. As they hit ground (or in some cases, before then), they break open, revealing their cargo - dinosaurs! Some right out of the history books, some of them robots, and some of them somewhere in between!

As Protector watches from deep within the Omegabase, he gives the order. Venture City is under attack. Our time is now.

Calling all Omegafriends!

[[OOC: There will be three dedicated threads for the meteor team: Launch, Breach, and Showdown with Baron Von Tyrannosaur. Once these stubs are up, anyone going on the mission is free to post in them (maximum 8 heroes), and anyone else can reply directly to this post with their actions throughout the city - fighting dinosaurs, rescuing civilians, or even taking advantage of the confusion to commit a few crimes.

Most of the dinosaurs are non-intelligent, aside from the Baron and his immediate underlings. If you want us to NPC some dinosaurs, for a thread other than the last one, drop us a line. Good luck!]]

[Dinosaurs. Of all the things that could have attacked this was probably the one thing Eiji never would have expected he'd ever fight.... again if he included what happened in the past. But never mind what happened in the past for now, he needed to do something before even more damage was done and someone got hurt or worse.

Putting his belt on and slotting in the medals he had taken from the case in his bag, he grabbed the scanner at his side and scanned them.]

Henshin!

Taka! Tora! Batta! Tato ba! Tatoba, Tatoba!

[Now adorned with the Tatoba suit and making sure all of his belongings were in a safe place, Eiji set out to help anyone who might be in trouble and to help fend off the invaders. Starting with that one robotic dinosaur that was closing in on a few civilians.]

That one robotic dinosaur being...kicked...by a girl riding a pegasus??

Who is also declaiming a cheesy speech of some kind??

"I see you're hungry for the innocent, monster! But today, all you shall taste is JUSTICE!"

[Eiji halts and can't help but stare a little. That was a little unexpected. But while she seemed to be occupied with that dinosaur one of its comrades was charging straight for her.]

Watch out!!

[Kicking back into gear, Eiji launches forward with the power of the Batta legs and slashed at the dinosaur with his claws.]

Startled, the heroine pulls back on the pegasus' reigns, gaining some altitude as she looks down to see the new guy.

The new guy that is fighting a dinosaur that was DIRECTLY BEHIND HER.

Right. Time to kick things up a notch. Princess Pegasus draws out her lance, sets it, and swoops down on the robosaur she was fighting before, shattering a leg with a decisive strike. Sky Dancer lashes out with her hind hooves, sending it skidding away in a shower of sparks as mount and rider turn their attention to helping their armored ally.

[That was one down at least. Eiji leaps up into the air again and digs the Tora claws into the mechanical part of its head. It shrieks and starts veer all over the place, smashing into a nearby building in the process.]

A-ahh! Whoa!!

[Not good, not good. He tries to keep his grip even as he can feel himself slipping.]

Right, okay, time for PRINCESS PEGASUS to swoop in and pin it to the ground with a lance through the tail!

"Thanks for the assist, fellow hero!"

[Oh, it stopped flailing. Now was his chance. He lands a solid kick to its head and it goes down for the count.]

Not at all! Heroes should help each other.

She nods decisively.

"Yeah, yeah! You get it, don't you? The flower of justice blooms from the rich, loamy soil of teamwork!"

DASHING HERO POSE and then pause for thought.

"...I don't think I'll be using that one again."

[That was a little... yeah. Eiji had no comment for that one. Of course another dinosaur decided it wanted in on the action and was heading straight for them.

Time to bring out the Medajalibur for this one, it looks like. When it gets close enough, he swings and makes a cut to its left leg.]

Sky Dancer pulls back, gaining altitude, as Princess Pegasus leans forward in the saddle, bracing her lance for impact as the pegasus swoops downwards, the weapon aimed at the dinosaur's right leg.

[And down it goes, skidding against the asphalt of the road and creating sparks as the metal ground against it. Though it looked like that was enough draw the attention of lot of other dinosaurs.]

Princess Pegasus calmly dismounts Sky Dancer, patting the pegasus fondly on the neck before unsummoning her. Both feet on the ground, she limbers up a little before turning to address Eiji.

"So! I'm Princess Pegasus, nice to meet you!"

Striking a pose, she levels her lance at the dinosaurs.

"Alright, you larcenous lizards! Princess Pegasus will put a stop to your beastly behavior!"

[Princess Pegasus? That was... rather fitting since she did ride a pegasus.]

I'm OOO.

[And he also turns his attention to the incoming dinosaurs. He took a readying stance with Medajalibur but unlike his ally, didn't make any sort of heroic-sounding speech.]

Ha!

Princess Pegasus grips her lance in both gauntlets, gathers her legs underneath her, and launches herself at the pack, moving just a little bit faster than a normal human could.

"Woooo!"

[He follows after her, launching up into a large jump so he can meet one in mid-air. When he's close enough he swings his sword and it sparks when scraping against the metal.]

Princess Pegasus impales one of the smaller robosaurs with her lance before spinning in a circle and launching it at the head of another one, turning the rest of her momentum into a spinning uppercut that smashes her free hand into the jaw of a dinosaur that isn't made wholly or partially of metal.

[While Princess Pegasus takes care of that group, he opted to deal with the ones that were aiming to overwhelm them through sheer numbers. He cut down a few of the smaller ones before pulling the OOO scanner up again and running it over the driver.]

Scanning Charge!

[Three huge rings, red, yellow, and green appear forming a diagonal road that zeroed in on his targets. He leaped up and dive-kicked through the rings.]

SEEIIIIIYYYAAAAA!!

[When it connected with the closest robotic dinosaur, it created a large explosion that caught all of the others that were close to it.]
