Episode 4: Blast from the Past! Venture City Invasion!
On a sunny Saturday morning, it's finally visible - high above Venture City, the descending asteroid. However, it's doing something no real asteroid would do - it's slowing down.
As the space rock comes to a halt, looking like a second moon over the city, several holographic screens emerge from it, all showing the same face.

"Greetings, Earth mammals! A new order is at hand!"
"Sixty six million years ago, a meteor fell, ending the age of my people on this planet. However, not all of us were lost! Thanks to mysterious alien technology found by my ancestors, we were able to escape from Earth before the disaster heralded the rise of your pitiful kind. At long last, with the help of the human Devious, we have found the lost homeworld once more! And so we strike against those that replaced us - we, the true masters of Earth, have returned! And I, Baron Von Tyrannosaur, shall be your new ruler!"
With that, smaller pods start to break off from the dinosaur mothership. As they hit ground (or in some cases, before then), they break open, revealing their cargo - dinosaurs! Some right out of the history books, some of them robots, and some of them somewhere in between!
As Protector watches from deep within the Omegabase, he gives the order. Venture City is under attack. Our time is now.
Calling all Omegafriends!
[[OOC: There will be three dedicated threads for the meteor team: Launch, Breach, and Showdown with Baron Von Tyrannosaur. Once these stubs are up, anyone going on the mission is free to post in them (maximum 8 heroes), and anyone else can reply directly to this post with their actions throughout the city - fighting dinosaurs, rescuing civilians, or even taking advantage of the confusion to commit a few crimes.
Most of the dinosaurs are non-intelligent, aside from the Baron and his immediate underlings. If you want us to NPC some dinosaurs, for a thread other than the last one, drop us a line. Good luck!]]

[Giroro scoffs, knocking his gun back to load it.] Who'd have known they survived this long on the shards of that asteroid. The Pekoponians here now are too naive, letting their guards down.
[He turns to his ally, hidden in the tree above him as they watch the scene of the raptors spilling from the asteroid-turned-spaceship.] Original Pekoponians or not, we need to keep our claim- this planet is for Keron. This chaos would have been convenient to go ahead and invade if we had the entire platoon here, but us two should be enough for combat. From your scouting, where do you suggest we attack, Lance Corporal?

Putting his belt on and slotting in the medals he had taken from the case in his bag, he grabbed the scanner at his side and scanned them.]
Henshin!
Taka! Tora! Batta! Tato ba! Tatoba, Tatoba!
[Now adorned with the Tatoba suit and making sure all of his belongings were in a safe place, Eiji set out to help anyone who might be in trouble and to help fend off the invaders. Starting with that one robotic dinosaur that was closing in on a few civilians.]

He had brought his guns, his pike, and his old friend to this fight. Explosives would put too many people at risk even if a volley of mortar rounds would be more efficient. Before engaging though, he sent out a band to the other heroes.
"I have a large civilian group where I am located. Assistance appreciated. I will be silent, busy with the overgrown anklegators."
The kid wasn't quite familiar with Earth's dinosaurs. Those the first one that showed up to the place got a face full of old Cael Alloy to send them skittering out of the way. Robot dinosaurs hadn't quite shown up in his area yet, but he knew the density and activity would attract dinosaurs.

DINOSAURS.
Flick drops the bag of fresh chocolate filled croissants she'd just bought as she stares wide-eyed at the dinosaurs wrecking havoc on Venture City streets. Really? Really? She wants to be upset for a moment - all she had wanted was something yummy for breakfast, why was this happening?! - before she dimly recalls this is probably her fault for forgetting that Omegawatch whatsit so much.
So in the chaos, she ducks into an alley and calls out her transformation phrase. One sparkly burst of light later and Sparkling Wing is ready for action. The pigtailed magical girl quickly makes her way back to the streets, just in time to see a dinosaur advancing on a terrified citizen.]
Oh no you don't!
[And just like that, she's flinging a shield at the dinosaur's head. There's a loud CLANG as it hits its target, making the dino roar in pain and stumble backward. Sparkling Wing turns toward the group of civilians.]
GO! I can handle this!
[She watches as they hurry off, hands balling into shaking fists, and turns back to the horde of dinosaurs, face set in grim determination.
Oh, it was ON.]

Yes! I knew it! I wasn't expect dinosaurs exactly, but I knew the object my satellites detected would pick up a valuable asset! Go my robotnik minions... and capture me a dinosaur!
[with a loud, electronic cry, the army of Egg Pawns, Moto-Bugs, and Buzzbombers respond... and charge towards what looks like a sauropod]
EH? WHAT?! NO, YOU INCOMPETENT PILES OF REFUSE! I WANT A CARNIVORE! A CARNIVORE!

All caution forgotten, Aya is right in the thick of things, taking as many photos as possible. Dinosaurs, heroes fighting dinosaurs, the asteroid ship, anything is fair game. These are totally gonna bring her career with the Daily Venture up to the next level.
Seriously though, those dinosaurs are getting kind of distressingly close.

Save for a few streets over by the precinct. There, the police had two big advantages. First, the manpower and equipment provided by having their backs to their HQ. Second, the remarkable encouragements and organization offered by commissioner Vimes. If you wanted a place that was a little slice of normality in a city consumed by chaos and dinosaurs, this was the place to go. Barricades manned by organized officers and helpful citizens at key intersections keep the enemies at bay, with smaller strike teams going to back up any front that gets too much pressure.
Vimes himself is trying to catch a few winks in his squad car before the next big problem pops up. He had the feeling it was going to be a long night.

He was in an entirely new alien form, flying swiftly between a pair of pterosaurs (or were those pteranodons?) and setting them off-balance. He swooped about and unleashed a blast of green energy from his tail, striking one of them. The flying dinosaur cried out in pain, shuddering as it tumbled due to suddenly being unable to control its body correctly.
The other flying dinosaur--a cyborg one (still incredibly cool despite trying to kill him)--roared as it flew closer, firing off lasers. Ben folded his wings and dove, grateful for having accessed XLR8 so he was used to moving at incredibly fast speeds. He then banked at the last moment, letting the cyborg hit the ground.
"Two down. Only a bazillion to go..."

Just as quickly as it came, the image vanishes in a flash of light and sound but the street is no longer empty. The Evil Warriors stand there, each one flanked by their own servants. Beastman has dragged through a vertiable menageries of monstreous creatures, Tri-Klops stands amid dozens of hovering Doomseekers and Mer-Man sits on the back of some enormous amphibious creature. The rest each command squads of deathly gray hooded creatures.
But it isn't just them. At the front of the army, Havoc Staff clutched in his clawed hand and sitting in a saddle on Panthor's back is Skeletor himself. For a moment, he pauses, as if considering. He looks over the Omegafriends in sight and then upwards to the pods dropping from the sky and raises his staff. A blast of raw, destructive power lances upwards above the city and intercepts one of the pods. The prehistoric occupants inside just manage to bail out before the blast strikes home and annihilates the pod in a flash of fire and smoke.
"Attack!" And at that command, the Evil Warriors surge forward into the fray. Their main target the invaders, but any Omegafriends would do well to watch their backs as well.
[OOC: And here's Skeletor in the battle. He's pretty cheesed off at some scaly jerk trying to claim the planet he's properly claimed so the dinosaurs will be his primary target today. But he certainly won't let a chance to put down any irritating do-gooders either. This thread is open to either encountering one of the Warriors or going for Skeletor himself. Please specify if you have a preference.]
