After much searching about 17th-century London, the Omegafriends have found something most unusual indeed! In a basement underneath the Globe Theatre, there is, of all things, a phone booth. Those don't normally go in basements, and oh, there's also that tiny detail of how telephones haven't been invented yet.

Against all odds, the Omegawatch scanner still works, and whoever enters is transported deep underground, to... the Omegabase! In all its totally deserted glory. It's exactly as it was when you left it. The trail of clues have led you to that which you seek!

Oops, did I say totally deserted? Well, not exactly...

As promised, the time portal opens into the London, England of 1611. The evidence seems to back this up - the local fashion, the coins with Queen Elizabeth's face on them, the accents of the residents as they gossip on the streets about William Shakespeare's latest play with the spirits and the comic butler and throw garbage out of their windows and sell questionable sausages on the street corners and so on. The 1600s was/is not a hygienic era for England.

Speaking of local fashion, at least the Omegafriends won't be sticking out much in modern garments of spandex and frills - any outfits worn through will be adapted to a more suitable style of the times. Exactly how suitable seems to be up to the whims of fate - a Pretty Cure outfit might be transformed into an equally ruffly concoction with a long skirt and bustle, or it might become a completely plain and nondescript dress, or it might completely skip out, leaving the heroine in question in the middle of London looking like a member of a travelling circus. Dr. Jefferson's official scientific explanation for this consists of a baffled shrug.

One thing's for sure: Lady Blue has to be here, and that means one thing: Hunting for clues to her presence! A woman towing a building the size of the Omegabase can't have vanished without a trace... right?

[[OOC: Welcome... to the past! Comment anywhere on this post to continue your investigation, chat with each other, or just enjoy the sights of 17th-century London.

There are a number of people who claim to have seen someone matching Lady Blue's description around, and following the leads will eventually lead the group to the Globe. What they'll find if they investigate it... well, stay tuned!]]

Okay, Omegafriends: We've identified seven time portals in the city. However, without our resources at the Omegabase, we only have enough energy to open one of them. Lady Blue has to be hiding behind one of them, so we've only got a single shot at getting this right.

Portal destinations:

6,500,000,000 BC
5,321,958 BC
215 BC
1021 AD
1611 AD
1999 AD
5050 AD

One of these portals will get us back on her trail - but which one?

Midnight, the exact time when Lady Blue promised to make her move. Something happens, but probably not what anyone was expecting.

To anyone guarding the statue: As the clock strikes twelve, Protector's marble head splits open, revealing some kind of glowing orb. It glows brighter, and brighter, then a deafening VOIP fills the air... and there are a lot more people in the park.

To anyone who happens to be in the Omegabase: At the exact moment of VOIP, whatever you were doing, suddenly you (and possibly some of your personal belongings) are transported to Venture Park. Everyone - heroes, technicians, even Protector himself.

It seems that Lady Blue's game is trickier than she laid it out to be...

[[So, event details! Until Lady Blue is caught:

-All secret elevators to the Omegabase instead open to stone walls. Blasting through them will just reveal more stone - it's as if the base was never there to begin with.
-On each of these stone walls is a portion of a message, encoded into strange symbols. If the Omegafriends are dilligent in recording all the pieces, assemble the message, then crack the code, the message reads: "Totus mundus agit histrionem".
-Which items you still have and which were stolen along with the base is up to you.
-The Omegawatch network still works, thankfully.
-Over the next week, people can find any number of inactive time portals hidden around the city. For the moment, without the Omegabase, using these portals is impossible - however, there will be another post later with more on these.
-The orb hidden in the head of the statue is now inert. However, some clever types may find it worth studying.

That's all for now. Good luck!]]

Today is the unveiling of the new Omegafriends Tribute Statue in Venture Park! Depicting Protector and a small host of younger heroes (nobody specific - representing the Omegafriends as a whole) standing proud, it's a wonderful addition to the park. If you like statues. And you'd better because there are quite a few in there.

However, there's been a slight complication - one that wasn't mentioned at the public unveiling. During the final stages of construction, during a brief moment when everyone was looking away, a small, classy-looking envelope appeared at the feet of the nearly-finished statue. It contained a letter, saying only the following:

Dear Omegafriends:

I'd like to congratulate you on your fine work dealing with Baron Von Tyrannosaur. As a reward for your diligent defense of the city, I'll give you this warning:

At midnight, three days from now, I'll be helping myself to this shining symbol of the Omegafriends' triumph. Stop me if you can.

Yours sincerely,
L.B.

Well, it seems like Venture City is safe again - and we owe it all to our ever-faithful protectors, the Omegafriends! I'd like to extend my personal thanks to the heroes who repelled Baron Von Tyrannosaur's invasion, and beyond that, we'll be erecting a new statue in Venture Park to commemorate the occasion.

The Intergalactic Police Department sent a ship Earth's way to help us with deporting the Baron, so I doubt we'll be seeing him again any time soon. As for the less sentient dinosaurs who were left behind, well... let's just say that Venture City has an exciting new announcement to make in the next few months.

Until then, keep on fighting the good fight, Omegafriends!

[Relatedly, a large-scale construction project - not even affiliated with any supervillains - appears to have begun on an island off the coast of Venture City. What is it? Only time will tell! Stay vigilant until the next battle - same Omegatime, same Omegachannel!]

On a sunny Saturday morning, it's finally visible - high above Venture City, the descending asteroid. However, it's doing something no real asteroid would do - it's slowing down.

As the space rock comes to a halt, looking like a second moon over the city, several holographic screens emerge from it, all showing the same face.

"Greetings, Earth mammals! A new order is at hand!"

"Sixty six million years ago, a meteor fell, ending the age of my people on this planet. However, not all of us were lost! Thanks to mysterious alien technology found by my ancestors, we were able to escape from Earth before the disaster heralded the rise of your pitiful kind. At long last, with the help of the human Devious, we have found the lost homeworld once more! And so we strike against those that replaced us - we, the true masters of Earth, have returned! And I, Baron Von Tyrannosaur, shall be your new ruler!"

With that, smaller pods start to break off from the dinosaur mothership. As they hit ground (or in some cases, before then), they break open, revealing their cargo - dinosaurs! Some right out of the history books, some of them robots, and some of them somewhere in between!

As Protector watches from deep within the Omegabase, he gives the order. Venture City is under attack. Our time is now.

Calling all Omegafriends!

[[OOC: There will be three dedicated threads for the meteor team: Launch, Breach, and Showdown with Baron Von Tyrannosaur. Once these stubs are up, anyone going on the mission is free to post in them (maximum 8 heroes), and anyone else can reply directly to this post with their actions throughout the city - fighting dinosaurs, rescuing civilians, or even taking advantage of the confusion to commit a few crimes.

Most of the dinosaurs are non-intelligent, aside from the Baron and his immediate underlings. If you want us to NPC some dinosaurs, for a thread other than the last one, drop us a line. Good luck!]]

This is Dr. Jefferson again. There's been a second development with the transmitter!

With the help of Kerbal-X's space network, we were able to pinpoint the other end of the transmission signal. It appears to be some sort of huge asteroid... and it's on a collision course with Venture City!

However, we're also detecting minute radio waves coming from the asteroid, and on top of that I swear it's adjusted its course twice since we started monitoring it. What it comes down to is, I don't think it's actually an asteroid at all.

The object is estimated to arrive three days from now. We're going to keep trying to contact it, but if what Dr. Devious said was true, we need to get ready for the real crisis to begin...

This is Dr. Jefferson. The initial test results are back from the transmitter analysis!

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get too much out of it. I'm sure it's communicating with something - still trying to figure out he coordinates of the other side, but I'm pretty confident it's not on Earth.

We also found two messages - one is a heavily encrypted recording of an earlier communication, and the other appears to be for us. Taking both of these into consideration, we've shut the machine down for the time being.

Here's the one for us:

Well done, Omegafools! You managed to find my transmitter, and if you're reading this, you probably also defeated Leader One. However, don't fool yourselves into thinking this means you've beaten me!

You're far too late. My new friend has already locked on to my signal, and will be arriving any day now. Since you have refused to hand the city over to me, prepare to see it destroyed!

Dr. Devious

P.S.: Muahahahaha!!!

And here's what I've been able to get of the encrypted transmission:

[The transmission is a conversation between two voices. The second is Dr. Devious, but the first is an unfamiliar, growling voice, accompanied by a heavily-distorted image.]

"--planet is a difficult thing to find from this distance, Human Devious, let alone a single city."

"Don't worry, Baron. My transmitter is more than up to the task of guiding you here."

"I hope that this is the case. You have been... most helpful, for one of your kind."

"Don't forget our deal. You can have the rest of Earth, but I get Venture City!"

"It shall be yours to do with as you please. A single human settlement is a small price to pay in exchange for reclaiming that which is rightfully ours..."
