Episode 4: Blast from the Past! Venture City Invasion!
On a sunny Saturday morning, it's finally visible - high above Venture City, the descending asteroid. However, it's doing something no real asteroid would do - it's slowing down.
As the space rock comes to a halt, looking like a second moon over the city, several holographic screens emerge from it, all showing the same face.
"Greetings, Earth mammals! A new order is at hand!"
"Sixty six million years ago, a meteor fell, ending the age of my people on this planet. However, not all of us were lost! Thanks to mysterious alien technology found by my ancestors, we were able to escape from Earth before the disaster heralded the rise of your pitiful kind. At long last, with the help of the human Devious, we have found the lost homeworld once more! And so we strike against those that replaced us - we, the true masters of Earth, have returned! And I, Baron Von Tyrannosaur, shall be your new ruler!"
With that, smaller pods start to break off from the dinosaur mothership. As they hit ground (or in some cases, before then), they break open, revealing their cargo - dinosaurs! Some right out of the history books, some of them robots, and some of them somewhere in between!
As Protector watches from deep within the Omegabase, he gives the order. Venture City is under attack. Our time is now.
Calling all Omegafriends!
[[OOC: There will be three dedicated threads for the meteor team: Launch, Breach, and Showdown with Baron Von Tyrannosaur. Once these stubs are up, anyone going on the mission is free to post in them (maximum 8 heroes), and anyone else can reply directly to this post with their actions throughout the city - fighting dinosaurs, rescuing civilians, or even taking advantage of the confusion to commit a few crimes.
Most of the dinosaurs are non-intelligent, aside from the Baron and his immediate underlings. If you want us to NPC some dinosaurs, for a thread other than the last one, drop us a line. Good luck!]]

Simon chugs it back and flinches as he regains his focus. "Oh, glob.. AH!"
He barely manages to dodge an armored Velociraptor that leaps for his face. With many dinosaurs now closing in on him as well, Simon concentrates on his powers and levitates himself into the air.
His beard extends into two wing-like appendages to help lift him higher. He raises his arms skyward and spins them in circular motion. A storm cloud begins to form at his fingertips, bursting with blue lightning. He hurls it downward, flash-freezing the attacking dinosaurs. The unfrozen ones leap back, hissing and roaring.
One bolt accidentally goes off course and knocks over a car, setting off its alarms.
"Whoops! Aw man, every time I make a step forward I go two back, huh?"
He solidifies that in ice too, muffling the alarm slightly. It's probably too late anyway, even more of the robotic dinosaurs are bound to come to the sound. He swoops down and pulls The Kid's pike out of the fallen creature's neck and tosses it back carefully.
"Sorry about that."

The kid was so glad that this strange man was on their side. Simon certainly had a great deal of power with him, even if it at the expense of his mind. He was hopeful that until they had a more permanent treatment that the drinks would work. For now though they needed that power to get things rocking. With the car alarm on, there was a lot more danger placed on them than ever before. Darn car alarms, never that useful.
The Kid uses the flex function on his pike quick as something was approaching him, slamming into the robotic creature's weak spot to bring it down before pulling it back in. He rolled away from the next attack, pulling out the musket. A blast from a beanbag round put away another living one while a swapping of catridges brought a real blast to bear, blowing apart two more bots as he kept himself on the move between the different creatures as more and more came in.
Should have brought explosives, kid.
He puts the musket away and rushes into a crowd of them with his hammer, downing some Black Rye Shake before running in. He goes into a spinning frenzy, smashing robots apart and living ones aside, sending them flying into buildings and cars. Collateral damage was of little concern when lives were on the line after all! He stopped after a few moments of that, stumbling around dizzly.
"I do not think I can do that again for a bit. How you holding up Simon?"

Simon alternates between trapping the approaching creatures in ice, and in flinging huge sharp-tipped icicles. A few of the ice boulders shatter with the dinos still inside. It's a gruesome and effective method, but it's draining his concentration. His throws become less coordinated, and pretty soon the dinosaurs are able to close the distance he tried to keep. He leaps into the air, barely dodging a pair of snapping jaws.
"Th-this is really bad! Kid! I think I need to try something big again, you need to find somewhere to hide!"
On My side too!
"You smash them, and I will get something bigger to hit them." He smashed back the nearest dino with his hammer before dashing over to his store. He locks the front door before sprinting back towards his armory, letting Simon go big and bold.
