Episode 4: Blast from the Past! Venture City Invasion!

On a sunny Saturday morning, it's finally visible - high above Venture City, the descending asteroid. However, it's doing something no real asteroid would do - it's slowing down.

As the space rock comes to a halt, looking like a second moon over the city, several holographic screens emerge from it, all showing the same face.



"Greetings, Earth mammals! A new order is at hand!"

"Sixty six million years ago, a meteor fell, ending the age of my people on this planet. However, not all of us were lost! Thanks to mysterious alien technology found by my ancestors, we were able to escape from Earth before the disaster heralded the rise of your pitiful kind. At long last, with the help of the human Devious, we have found the lost homeworld once more! And so we strike against those that replaced us - we, the true masters of Earth, have returned! And I, Baron Von Tyrannosaur, shall be your new ruler!"

With that, smaller pods start to break off from the dinosaur mothership. As they hit ground (or in some cases, before then), they break open, revealing their cargo - dinosaurs! Some right out of the history books, some of them robots, and some of them somewhere in between!

As Protector watches from deep within the Omegabase, he gives the order. Venture City is under attack. Our time is now.

Calling all Omegafriends!

[[OOC: There will be three dedicated threads for the meteor team: Launch, Breach, and Showdown with Baron Von Tyrannosaur. Once these stubs are up, anyone going on the mission is free to post in them (maximum 8 heroes), and anyone else can reply directly to this post with their actions throughout the city - fighting dinosaurs, rescuing civilians, or even taking advantage of the confusion to commit a few crimes.

Most of the dinosaurs are non-intelligent, aside from the Baron and his immediate underlings. If you want us to NPC some dinosaurs, for a thread other than the last one, drop us a line. Good luck!]]

Wild Tiger is inclined to save his ability for that one moment where he needs it for somebody else. That moment comes as a rather large dinosaur body is suddenly hurtling towards Aya's back.

So if you're wondering what that blue blur in a snazzy outfit is doing suddenly bum-rushing you and pushing you over to a nearby alley, that's why. He's even got the famous Wild Tiger domino mask on! (...but where's the costume?)

"Oi! What're you even doing here?! It's freaking dangerous!" he yells.

Not one to be thrown mentally by being thrown physically, Aya rolls as she hits the ground so that she can take a picture of her savior before replying.

"Thanks for the save, Wild Tiger, but I'm with the Daily Venture! A true reporter follows the story wherever it may go, and today it's basically everywhere."

Oh boy howdy. A reporter. And a particularly fearless -- or naive, or stupid, or whatever you -- one at that.

"Yeah, well YOU were nearly everywhere too! Criminy, can't you at least find a more sheltered place to get pictures of people hitting dinosaurs?!" He couldn't stick around long, either; he wasn't ready to reveal his weakness yet, and if he talked with her TOO long, she probably wouldn't be able to help but notice his light going out way faster than it should.

"Well, pretty much everything at ground level is total chaos." She looks up at a nearby rooftop. "Could you give me a lift?"

Ugh. He probably had thirty seconds left on the clock. "Fine, I give lift, you stay out of way of dinosaurs, everybody happy, okay? Okay." He lifts her and, in one mighty bound, jumps to the top of a nearby building and sets her down. "Okay, gotta go! Still a lotta dinosaurs to fight!"

Only in Venture City could he say that.

He moves to bound back down, hopefully to move out of shot before the blue glow goes out.

"Thank you for your dedication to our humble city's safety!"

And a few more pictures as he heads back down. Wild Tiger's a big name, after all.
