Omegafriends, Episode 1: A Devious Deadline
It was a day like any other... but little did the Omegafriends know, disaster loomed on the horizon!
An Omeganet message cuts through the tranquil morning. On the other end, however, is no Omegafriend - it is none other than their sworn enemy, the genius scientist Dr. Devious!
"Greetings, Omegafools! I come to you bearing an ultimatum so simple that even your primitive brains should be able to comprehend it: If your precious Mayor doesn't surrender Venture City to me, then nothing awaits in the days to come save for doom and destruction! My latest creation has already been activated, and the means of Venture City's demise draws closer with each passing hour!"
"So which would you rather see: Venture City in ruins, or Venture City in control of the brilliant Dr. Devious? The choice is yours, fools!"
With a maniacal cackle, the transmission ends. Shortly afterwards, another one, this time from Protector, leader of the Omegafriends:

"It looks like Dr. Devious is up to her old diabolical tricks again! I don't know what she's planning, but we all need to be extra vigilant until we figure it out. No doubt another one of her crazy inventions is hidden somewhere in Venture City... I just hope we can find it before it's too late."
"Remember, so long as heroes stand together against evil, there is always hope. Protector out!"

Yes, the human has no idea of Earth's tech level.

But at the mentioning of what the Hunter needed, he frowned, tapping his fingers against his bottom lip. That might be a little bit of a challenge if they were to rely on this world's tech.
"They have them, however you are talking about expensive tech that is usually not common on this world. It can be found, but to get the parts you need, you may have to resort to stealing unless you can find some way to pay for the entire system.
Or you know someone who can build something similar."

Even as he talked, he was scrolling through the pages on his smart phone, having inputted a search and seeing what he could find as a result.
"Luckily, it seems there is one on the university campus. Getting to it might prove difficult unless you know someone that can sneak us in."

He wasn't sure what the staff would say. The Hunter... well, was an intimidating person in an outlandish suit and he looked like a slimmed down version of a biker gang hanger-on. The only other gear he could possibly wear to talk to the Dean was his version of a Rider suit and that wouldn't help at all.

While she could go as a civilian, there goes the hero leverage. Plus she's intimidating even without the outlandish suit, being a muscular (Athletic and wiry) woman that is nearly 2 meters tall.

Well. Something close to steel-plated that is.
"Then I should give it a try," he said, turning a little as he phones up the university and exaggerates his accent and talks rapidly over a couple people until he gets to someone that knows something. It takes more than a few minutes to do so, unfortunately.

"I found someone willing to let us in exchange for letting them look at a piece of equipment. You won't have to hand any of yours over if you don't want to; I have pieces that can be mocked up easily enough. We will need to be there within the next hour."

"Does that suit allow for speed or do you have a way to get to the university?"

He lead the way, going past the main entrance to the science building where a guy in a lab jacket was pacing in front of the doors. He jumps at their appearance and says something rapidly in Japanese which Joji answers , nodding at Hunter while he talks. A few more exchanges and then they were being led inside to a stairwell, and led downstairs, past a couple doors and then a large room marked with hazardous signs for radiation and x-ray. The man then stops and says something while holding out his hands.

Joji fished out the strange camera and handed it over to the professor, who started fiddling with it in an attempt to open it. Joji let him while taking out the visor and replacing his sunglasses with it.

"Let me take a look at it and then you can put it back."
Re-creating the piece wouldn't be an issue once he had the blueprint. This planet might be backwards in some of their tech, but he can use the raw materials to make nearly anything he needed once he had an understanding of what he wanted to make.

"Two hours," he decided, cracking his right hand. It felt warmer than normal, but then again it did pull some of the energy from the piece while he held it. "I can remake it in two hours. The hardest part will be the irradiated isotope."
Action
"I'll be where we first met then then unless you need my help. I'll need to take this to my workshop to integrate it correctly," She took a moment to look around before starting to head out.
Action
In truth it would make it easier that he didn't have help. His methods were strange even without the added bonus of his artificial arm, and the last time anyone tried to help, he had ended up being tortured and branded a traitor. So while the Hunter went back to the woods, he went to the garage he worked out of, fired up his tools and started to work. The other mechanics at Dick's left him alone - everyone knew that he had a temper when it came to work - and he quickly rebuilt the pieces. The isotope recreation was solved by simply taking the stored energy from his arm and charging the proper piece.
He then made his way back to the meeting place and waited for the Hunter to appear, this time playing a game of solitaire with his strangely marked cards to pass the time with.
Action
"I'll see if I can integrate it now. What's with the cards?" she asked.
