Not a vacation (video. Filtered to ACTUAL Omegafriends)
[A few weeks ago, there was a message sent to the Omegabase from Mystero, Master of the Mind, informing them that he was sending his daughter to Venture City to train with the Omegafriends in hopes of developing her as of yet dormant psychic powers.
Well, she's here.]
So, I guess Mystero told you what I'm doing here. What with Dr. Devious and the confusion of flying half way around the planet, I never really heard who agreed to help out.
I'm already getting antsy here. Any learnable skills you've got, I'll take a shot at learning them. If you're willing to teach them, that is.

"I will admit I have little familiarity with the weapon but we can start with the traditional Cael War Machete. Both are swords, even if quite different in style."

Sure, variety is good.
Move to Action?
Move to Action.
Some unspecified amount of time later, Parley was at the Omegagym, wearing her training gear and leaning against the wall. Her sword was lying on the ground at her feet. It wasn't in a scabbard, but it was clearly a blunted training weapon, so it wasn't a huge issue.
Action
He had brought a few training Machete's, blunted, as well as a few sharp ones, shining with that special oil that made them so dangerous. A set of pistols. A trainer pair, not designed for the same kind of size the kid packed, but they'd help her get a hold of the basics. A set of training armor, mostly so she could try that out. A spare Brusher's Pike was lying at the head, not sure if she wanted to try her hand at that. Finally a Scrap Musket loaded up with, I think is called beanbag shot. Hurts like a Pecker hitting your noggin, but won't kill ya.
"I am the Kid, at least that is what they call me."
He offered a hand over to her.

She sighed, "You know what. I'm Parley. I can't introduce myself as 'Mystery Lass' anymore. It's too dumb."

The kid adjusted his scarf, letting the red thing drop around his neck.
"Want to work on sword skills, acrobatics, weight training, or did any of the weapons here catch your eye."

By her stance, she's probably never used a spear before, but maybe quarterstaves a bit? "How about this?"
no subject
"We can start with the Pike. Let me show you its special part."
Given the pike, he demonstrates how to thrust it out to maximum length, the Pike extending farther than it's normal form. He brought it in with a practiced speed, clearly able to thrust it like that quickly.
"Main trick is really knowing how to move with it and when to strike with it."
He handed it back to her to let her have a chance with it, develop her own style. He wish he still had the Brusher's training ground. Then again, that place was overgrown with dangerous plants.

"How you feel about some target practice?"

Sebastian found a few soft, balls that would make a good thing to puncture. He starts them up into the air at her, get her aim together. He helped correct her posture and aim, the process going for some time. Though of course others things were practiced. A few musket blasts probably would put her off on the gun, the recoil on it was pretty strong. Though if she was particularly determined, he might give her the spare one and some beanbag rounds to practice with.
Then he tossed some of the practice armor on her, before taking her to some dueling with the blunted machete. He was fast with the blade, despite wearing heavier armor than her. She was probably feeling the weight heavy on her shoulders though, given it was about 40 pounds of stuff strapped around her torso. Though would at least make sure she's getting a good work out. Still, she made some progress and the fact he wasn't skilled dueling with other people with swords was pretty clear in his style. Still, he wasn't bad himself. When she finally had enough of the weight, it was probably getting late.
"Want to head out and see if we could try to stop any crimes?" He offered, deciding she had done pretty well so far.

Parley had almost exclusively trained against human opponents. While she favored a longer blade, she had good instincts for reading her opponent's body language and very quick reaction times. The only thing she lacked was practical battlefield experience and about 10 more pounds of muscle. So at the end of the session, she wiped sweat out of her eyes and gave him a Look.
"Now? I can barely lift a sword right now."
no subject
"I know the feeling. I would take you to a watering hole, but you are a bit young for that. So... buy you something in the break room here?"
no subject
She shrugged, "Eh, sure, why not."

The kid went straight to the place himself. he hadn't worked up as much of a sweat, since most of it was instruction, and he didn't have much experiences with showers. His own apartment he preferences his bath over a shower.
