[A blog for Tomoki's off the clock writing and findings. He will sometimes reblog unique photos of Supers in action as well as articles from various news sites about heroes and villains and what have you. He does a lot of his own writing, too.]

It's certainly never a dull moment in Venture City.

While this is good news for my job security (being a reporter is a harrowing way to make a living, for those who don't know), it sure makes for a strange way of life. I've been in this city all my life, and every day I wake up thinking "I don't think there's anything left to surprise me." Obviously I'm proven wrong every single one of those days. Sometimes I wonder just what other cities do with their time.

So my question for everyone is, what is it that makes us so special? We definitely get a lot more excitement than the rest of the world, it seems like. Any theories?

Leave me your thoughts while I proofread this article about fascist space dinosaurs.

Action. [A] [You will find Tomoki in one of two places- working on his article at the Daily Venture with a number of empty coffee cups near him. He's been at the office almost all night trying to finish up this recent publication and he's the sort of guy to not stop until he's finished.]

[B] [He's finished and is actually relaxing by sitting outside at a small cafe, drinking something caffeinated. He's poking at his laptop here or there but otherwise just appears to be out of it.]

[A young man in a blue suit of plate armor waves nervously. He speaks with a strong Spanish accent, and occasionally pauses as he looks for the right word in English.]

Hello, Omegafriends. Uhm, I am Escudo, and I have just come here from Spain.

[This guy's account is fairly new. It has a few recent pictures of himself, an athletic-looking 16 year-old boy with long brown hair.]

Hello, my name is Antonio, and I am from Spain. I have recently moved to California, and would like to know more about its people and its customs.

Also, if you know of any places in Venture City to get something good to eat, I would appreciate your recommendation. I don't suppose anyone here makes paella?


[C. Venture Park - Action]
[On the warm summer morning, a young man with long brown hair, no more than 16 years old, is sitting on a park bench with an acoustic guitar, playing some music of his own composing.

He doesn't seem to be looking for attention, but neither does he seem like he wants to be left alone.]


[D. The library - Action]
[Antonio is looking around Venture Library looking slightly perplexed, as if he cannot find what he is looking for. Exasperated, he turns to you, addressing you with a heavy Spanish accent.]

Excuse me, do you know if this library has a section on, uh, magic, the occult, that sort of thing?

[E. The beach- Action]
[It is morning, an Antonio is clearly preparing for a workout. He is currently wearing sweats, but has a large gymbag with his swim trunks, clean clothes, practice swords, and other workout items in it. After stretching and a 4-mile jog, he will practice his martial arts, and then go for a swim. Feel free to approach him during any of these activities.]
